2012 Outlook: Stud (low risk)
Last updated on Jul-16-2012 by Rob WarnerWallace is expected to play on his restricted tender in 2012. He set a career-high with 72 catches last season but regressed in the final seven games (25 catches for 325 yards and two touchdowns). Wallace should be ultra motivated in a contract year and his top end speed makes him one of the most dynamic WR after the catch (averaged an eye popping 19 YPC over his brief career). The Mississippi alum has 24 TD catches over his first three seasons and remains a borderline WR1 worth considering in rounds 3-4.
UPDATE: Contract dispute is ongoing and Wallace could miss the entire preseason (raises risk of potential injury). Wallce appears likely to play out the season on a $2.7 million contract and could enter next season as an unrestricted free agent.

2012 Experts Mock Draft (June) June 6, 2012 - June 25, 2012 |
3.08 | TheHuddle.com - I'm banking on the Steelers sticking to their word and not cutting Wallace's tender, though an angry Wallace playing for a paycheck wouldn't be a bad get either. He's at the top of the next tier of receivers; for me there wasn't as clear a leader at any of the other positions. |

3.10 | CBSSports.com - As long as he doesn't hold out Wallace should continue to post outstanding production. |

2012 Experts Mock Draft (August) Aug 14 - 24 |
4.01 | FantasySharks.com - I'm going with the "all contract squabble" team in this draft and drafting for super value. If they all sign, I win! I wish it were that easy. Mike Wallace has talent, is fast, Ben Roethlisberger can throw a nice deep ball, advantage Wallace. |
