2012 Outlook: Bye Week Fill-in
Last updated on Aug-13-2012 by Vin SadicarioDonald Brown will probably enter the 2012 season in a platoon with Delone Carter in the Colts backfield. The former Connecticut Huskie played a major role in the Colts backfield last season, but was not able to stand out as a future every down running back. Brown had a couple good games, but also mixed in very average games. Delone Carter will cut into Brown's production, and if he does not get off to a good start, he could be moved into a backup role before long.

8.01 | FantasySharks.com - Reaching down a little for Donald Brown. I like him better than many of the RB choices ahead of him on the ADP list. He's a starting RB with speed. For those that have forgotten, Brown was a 2009 1st round draft pick of the Colts and was expected to be the man. Now he gets his chance. |

2012 Experts Mock Draft (August) Aug 14 - 24 |
7.04 | FFToday.com - With two of the three teams to the left of me passing at QB, that opens the door for me to pass too and wait until the next round. Of course I have my preferences at the position of those still available, and anything could happen in this draft, but playing the odds I should be in line for a decent starter. This allows me to keep digging for a decent RB after my early WR hoarding. Donald Brown - yeah, never been a big fan, but the opportunity is there and he is a good pass catcher. He's the most experienced RB on the Colts and the team should lean on him to protect their new prized asset. He's a worthwhile bet at this price. |
