2013 Outlook: Sleeper (undervalued)
Touchdown Timmy went from a crowded backfield situation in the desert where he was the third-wheel to a more open competition in the Nation's Capital, one where he now sits atop.
Ryan Torain is the best pure runner among the Redskins options, but the injury factor is off the charts high. Rookies Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster may round out the opening day lineup, but neither figures to push for significant playing time early. Meanwhile Hightower is an accomplished pass catcher -- 21 passes for 136 yards last season, but 97 combined the previous two seasons -- a strong pass blocker and is a capable(though not stellar) runner. He rushed for a career-high 736 yards on 153 attempts last season while scoring five touchdowns.
Considering his versatility plus the injury and inexperience worries with the others, Hightower is the Redskins' best fantasy RB option, but is an average to low-end RB3 regardless.Last updated on Aug-16-2011 by Ben Standig
