2012 Outlook: Quality Backup

Don't over think this. Three straight seasons, Flacco has passed for 3600 yards. In that span, the number of touchdown throws is between 20 and 25. In three of his four pro seasons, he has tossed exactly 12 interceptions. The completion percentage dropped last season. Confidence should be up after nearly pulling out the AFC Championship. Not ideal as a fantasy starter, but a solid QB2.

2012 Experts Mock Draft (June) June 6, 2012 - June 25, 2012	12.06	FFToolbox.com (Ben) - Despite the best-ball format of this game, I'm trying to make my picks as a I would in a traditional league. I was hoping Jared Cook or Brent Celek would make it back to me, shucks. Flacco represents the best value perhaps by a lot over the remaining QB's. Even though I have Rodgers, gots to do what I gots to do.
2012 Experts Mock Draft (July) July 16 - 27	13.08	FFToday.com - Certainly not the most exciting of backup QBs to grab, but when you invest in a first round QB, you can afford to wait and wait at the position. In fact, you'd be silly not to, otherwise you're counteracting the benefit of taking a QB so early. To Flacco's credit, he doesn't miss time, he's got that cannon arm and pretty darn good skill players to work with, too. On the plus side, his defense might be on the downside, possibly resulting in more pass attempts in 2012.
2012 Experts Mock Draft (August) Aug 14 - 24	13.02	FFToolbox.com (Ben) - Really had no interest in taking a third QB here, but the best options left are tight ends (I have two) and rookie wide outs (I already have one). Since I missed out on the legit QB1's, I'll up my weekly odds by adding the solid Flacco to Cutler and Dalton.
