2013 Outlook: Solid/Safe Pick

I am not quite going to call Martellus Bennett a fantasy stud, but I could make the case that this seasson in Chicago he is going to put up big numbers. I like the combination of Bennett, Marshall and Jeffery and think Cutler is going to love having a TE that he can rely upon. Bennett grabbed 55 passes for 5 TDs in New York last season. I am going to say he nabs 65 plus passes this season for 8 TDs.

2013 Mock Draft Results

Month Position Franchise/Comments
2013 FFToolbox Staff Mock Draft #1
June 18th, 2013
10.02 FFToolbox - Rob Warner - Signed a 4 year contract and should be a big factor in head coach Marc Trestman's pass happy offense. In one and only year with G-men, Bennett had 55 catches and 5 TDs and could emerge as the #2 receiving option behind B-Marsh.

2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #1

10.08 FFToolbox -Scott - It's always nice to have a solid second option at Tight End because you can flex them during bye weeks and injuries. Bennett has a real opportunity in Kromer's new offense. I can see Bennett becoming a quality option for Jay Cutler this season.
2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #3
July 9th, 2013
11.10 FootballDiehards - Bennett broke through with a career year in New York last season, catching 55 passes for 626 yards and five touchdowns. To be fair, he also tied for the NFL's 11th-worst drop percentage (7.8). With that said, Bennett gives the Bears a legitimate threat at the position for the first time since they traded away Greg Olsen in 2011. As a so-called "complete" tight end, Bennett can be on the field no matter what type of play the Bears have called. That should translate into strong fantasy totals.
