Case Keenum, QB, Texans
2013 Outlook:Last updated on Nov-05-2013 by Ben Standig
There are different levels of fantasy backups. For those shutout of the Terrelle Pryor-Nick Foles-Jake Locker tier, Keenum is one to target. First, it's the most obvious comment possible, but obviously he and Andre Johnson now have a connection. Johnson had zero touchdowns entering Week 9, He has three entering Week 10 with oodles of more receiving yards as well. Keenum doesn't have the most enticing Week 10 matchup against a stout Cardinals pass defense that just smothered Matt Ryan, but they allowed five touchdown passes over the previous two games. Going forward, Keenum faces Jacksonville twice and an Oakland defense that allowed seven TDP to Foles. The injuries to Arian Foster and Ben Tate limit play action chances, but also make it unlikely Houston goes with a run-dominant approach. For those suddenly in a QBBC scenario, the spunky rookie with zero interceptions on the season and a Pro Bowl wide out is a worthy part of the mix.
