2012 Outlook: Quality Backup
Last updated on Aug-26-2012 by Jeb GorhamAlshon Jeffery is another big wide out with similarities to Brandon Marshall. Cutler is going to have lots of opportunities to allow his big receivers to make plays. Jeffery, Marshall, Hester and Bennett will be quite the wide out squad this season. There will be plenty of experience and hopefully some positive chemistry. Jeffery will have the ability and the opportunity to have a breajout first season as long as he fully recovers from a lower leg injury that has limited him and learns the playbook.
Update 8/26/12: I am upgrading Jeffery to quality backup status and might even consider him a safe pick if he and Jay Cutler continue to connect consitently. The one-two wide out punch of Marshall and Jeffery is going to be tough for opponents this season if Cutler is accurate with his throws.

2012 Experts Mock Draft (June) June 6, 2012 - June 25, 2012 |
9.02 | 2MugsFF.com - I tend to think Jeffery will be the recipient of too much attention being paid to Brandon Marshall, in an otherwise lackluster WR corps. 70 catches? I think that's a low ball estimate. |

2012 Experts Mock Draft (August) Aug 14 - 24 |
12.09 | FFToday.com - Time to add my first WR since round 4. Pickings are pretty slim at this point but I'll take a chance on this rookie who has two pretty good preseason games under his belt, and should start ahead of Devin Hester and Earl Bennett. With opposing defenses paying a lot of attention to Brandon Marshall, Jay Cutler should be able to find Jeffery a fair bit. |
