2013 Outlook: Super Sleeper (high risk/potential)

Last updated on Aug-13-2013 by Shawn Larabee

Despite a disappointing rookie season, there's reason to be optimistic about Pead's fantasy prospects. He's a better interior runner than Daryl Richardson and his extra year of experience gives him a leg up on Zac Stacy. Pead will have a chance to earn a major role in the now wide-open Rams backfield competition. His Week 1 suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy is a minor setback.

2013 FFToolbox Staff Mock Draft #1
June 18th, 2013
9.11 FFToolbox - Rob Warner - Will battle Richardson and Stacy for the starting job with S-Jax now in Atlanta. Will serve a 1-game suspension for marijuana but many expect the former 2nd round pick to win the starting job. He had just 10 carries for 54 yards in his rookie season but has some similar traits to the Titans Chris Johnson which make him an intriguing upside pick in round 9. Though Pead is a smallish 5-foot-10, 197, he shares many traits with Rams coach Jeff Fisher's 2008 first-round pick in Tennessee, Chris Johnson. Both backs had 197-pound Combine weigh-ins, and both ran 10-yard splits in the 1.4s. Not saying Pead with produce CJ2K number but the Oline should be much improved with Jake Long at LT and if Pead progresses and stays off the drugs -- I could have solid RB3 on my hands.

July 2nd 2013
11.03 Gridiron Experts - Again, ScoutPRO got me, as I was was ready to jump all over Sanders, who I'd considering taking over Givens with my previous pick. I didn't intend to take back-to-back Rams, but we currently have Pead still favored to lead St. Louis in carries. Granted, it should be a committee all season, but Pead flashed some nice potential last year.
