2013 Outlook:  

We could talk here about the Raiders' likely third string back -- Michael Bennett -- but frankly this year's 4th round pick is more interesting. With Michael Bush re-signed, Bennett is nothing more than an over-the-hill, low-value third wheel. Taiwan Jones, on the other hand, is a player with some long-term potential. He is dynamic with the football in his hands and could slide into the active mix as early as this season. At worst, he projects as a third down back and punt returner; at best, he could emerge to threaten Darren McFadden's job security. Jones, like virtually every other skill position player the Raiders have ever drafted, is a speed demon. He's a little undersized, but would be a great backfield complement and change of pace if paired with a power runner like Bush.
