2012 Outlook: Sleeper (undervalued)
Last updated on Aug-27-2012 by Matt De LimaEverybody saw what Randall Cobb could do when he scored two touchdowns in the first game of the year against the New Orleans Saints. After that, he was relatively quiet, only scoring once more (via punt return) all season. That's not to say he isn't talented though. Cobb should be considered the early favorite to succeed Donald Driver for the WR4 spot; to take this one step further, he has the ability to potentially succeed James Jones as well. Cobb is very explosive. He needs to improve his route-running, but he's very young and has a much higher long-term ceiling than Jones.
Update (08/27): Despite his immense potential, it appears Cobb won't advance ahead of Jones on the depth chart and his primary role will be as a kick returner in 2012. Only an injury ahead of him would propel him onto your fantasy team.

2012 Experts Mock Draft (June) June 6, 2012 - June 25, 2012 |
12.09 | FFToday.com - Cobb is a young, flashy, high risk but high upside pick that makes for a decent (not great, just decent) flier at this point, particularly thanks to the potent offense he plays in. More than likely, this pick is a year or two early before we see a worthwhile fantasy return from Cobb, but when you're picking receivers late in a typical league, go for young with upside over older and consistently average. If the pick doesn't pan out, then you can always throw it back on waivers and try again. |

11.06 | FFToolbox.com (Matt) - Cobb has a shot to supplant James Jones as the Packers' WR3. Tons of upside, but a bit risky as well. |
