1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Joeckel is the most polished prospect in this draft class on both sides of the football. If the Chiefs want to get better immediately, they’ll start by drafting this stud of a left tackle from TAMU who can come in and contribute from Day 1.

2 - JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Lotulelei draws comparisons to Raven’s defensive lineman Haloti Ngata and for good reason. Both are capable of taking on mutiple blockers at a time, pushing the pocket, and stopping the run with extreme efficiency. Despite the obvious health concerns regarding Lotulelei's heart, the Jaguars could definitely use him to shore up the league’s third-worst run defense.

8 - BUF: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Used as an inside linebacker in college but translates more as an outside in the NFL, Ogeltree is the perfect pick for the Bills at this spot. Their linebacking corps needs help, especially with the release of veteran Nick Barnett. Ogeltree is a sideline to sideline tackler who will be a mainstain in the Bills defense for years to come.

9 - NYJ: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Patterson has the most upside of any receiver in the draft, and the Jets realized how much they needed a second option for Mark Sanchez after Santonio Holmes went down last season. Patterson is a big-time playmaker with good size and speed that should be an immediate upgrade for the Jets offense.

10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Steve Hutchinson isn’t getting any younger and when you have one of the top 5 RB’s in the game, it never hurts to upgrade the line. Warmack is the best player available at this spot, an absolute road-grader who will open up big holes for CJ2K for years to come.

11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
It’s no secret that the Chargers need help on the offensive line. With that in mind, they select the best tackle not named Luke Joeckel to protect the blindside of Philip Rivers. Fisher is strong and moves well, and is a steal for the Chargers at 11.

12 - MIA: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
The Dolphins would be absolutely ecstatic to see Mingo fall out of the top 10 and right into their laps at 12. Mingo is an athletic beast who can start right away opposite Cameron Wake, and form a tandem of defensive ends that can really push the pocket.

14 - CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
The Panthers are desperate for some big guys to plug up the middle, so who better than defensive standout Sheldon Richardson? Richardson led the SEC is tackles by a DT, and will be a mainstay in the Panthers front seven for years to come.

15 - NO: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
If you watched the New Orleans Saints this year, you’d think they played defense with six men. The league’s worst defense is in need of major upgrades at almost every position, and by starting with safety Kenny Vaccaro, they’re putting themselves in a great position to succeed. Vaccaro is an excellent cover safety who can come in and start right away.

16 - STL: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The Rams will be thrilled to see Lane Johnson slip to them at 16. With a surprisingly good defense and two first round picks, the Rams will bolster their line with a franchise left tackle. Johnson plays with good leverage and will do a great job of protecting Sam Bradford’s blind side.

18 - DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Not the prettiest pick for America’s team, but they could really use some new talent down in the trenches. Cooper is an excellent guard who will help create running lanes for DeMarco Murray as well as upgrade an offensive line that gave up 36 sacks.

20 - CHI: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
With Brian Urlacher’s impending departure, the Chicago Bears will have a huge hole to fill in the middle of their defense. Te’o’s draft stock has been slipping ever since his below-average performance in the BCS Championship Game and the whole ‘girlfriend’ hoax, but his ability to play linebacker consistently shouldn’t be questioned.

21 - CIN: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
As good as the Cincinnati defense was last year at defending the pass, they could still use some help in their defensive back four. Eric Reid is a playmaking safety that instantly upgrades the Bengal’s defense. His speed and instincts will translate well at the next level.

24 - IND: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Fluker falls right into the lap of the patient Indianapolis Colts at 24. There is a dire need to protect Andrew Luck, and Fluker will contribute the the winning attitude in Indianapolis. It is very likely that Fluker comes in and starts at right tackle, a much better position for him.

25 - SEA: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Surprised to see “Ziggy” drop this low? Don’t be. Although he showed up in the Senior Bowl and has athleticism that is off the charts, we’ve yet to see consistent production from the freak of nature. Who better to take on that challenge than mastermind Pete Carroll, who would love to add this raw and rare talent to his already loaded Seattle defense.

26 - GB: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
The Packers get their guy late in the first round. If you watched Green Bay last year, you definitely noticed the lack of a consistent run game, or in some cases, the lack of a run game at all. Eddie Lacy will change that; he’s an every down back that can pick up the tempo of an offense. Whether he’s breaking tackles for long gains, or breaking ankles with his signature spin move, the Packers will have their franchise running back.

30 - ATL: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
The ‘other’ defensive end from LSU finally goes off the board at 30. Although Montgomery isn’t the physical specimen that Mingo is, he does produce on the field, and possesses good bulk already. Montgomery has potential to be a solid pass rusher in the NFL and that happens to be the biggest need for the Falcons, who got to the quarterback on 29 times last season.

31 - SF: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
What do you get for the team that has everything? The 49ers will look to stretch the field with this pick, as Terrance Williams has potential as a number one receiver. Lining up next to Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis should give Williams ample opportunities to showcase his talents.

32 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
The last pick of the first round goes to the Super Bowl Champs, who couldn’t be happier to see LSU standout linebacker Kevin Minter fall to them. He will help ease the pain of losing Ray Lewis and will be a consistent force in the middle of their defense for years to come.
