2/8 costrander3689's Mock Draft
1 - JAX: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
(Lotulelei, DT) Barkley should compete with Henne, and win the starting job
2 - KC: Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
(Joeckel, OT) Glennon's big arm should help Reid open up Kansas City's new offense
3 - PHI: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
(Jordan, OLB) Rhodes would be an excellent pick as a replacement for Asomugha
4 - DET: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
(Werner, DE) The Lions need a #2 WR, and Austin is a fantastic value pick here
5 - CIN: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
(Te'o, LB) The Bengals will have their pick of the non-Bernard HB litter here
6 - ARI: Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky
(Fisher, OT) Arians knows how important protecting your QB is. Adding Fisher and Warmack should make this a different team
7 - NYJ: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
(Mingo, LB) Instead of reaching for a QB in the 1st, the Jets get a NY product in the 2nd. Nassib should give Sanchez a good fight
8 - TEN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
(Warmack, OG) The Titans get their pass-rushing end here
9 - BUF: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
(Wilson, QB) Stevie Johnson is too inconsistent for a #1, Enter Hunter, who Wilson should find early and ofter
10 - MIA: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
(Allen, WR) Adding Allen and Ertz should help Tannehill open up this offense
11 - TB: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
(Milliner, CB) Adding Milliner and Cyprien should make this a much improved secondary
12 - CAR: Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State
(Richardson, DT) Gamble will likely be cut, leaving a hole that McFadden could fill
13 - SD: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
(Johnson, OT) Cason or Verner should be gone soon, leaving at least one CB hole open
14 - STL: Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati
(Vaccaro, S; Fluker, OT) Kelce would be an excellent fit on St Louis, replacing Kendricks, and giving Bradford a solid seam targrt
15 - DAL: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
(Okafor, DE) Jones would be an excellent pick this late. He should start somewhere for the Cowboys next season
16 - PIT: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
(J Jones, LB) Williams is a steal here, and gives the Steelers a replacement for Casey Hampton at NT
17 - NYG: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State
(Brown, LB) Even if they bring back Bennett, Escobar would be a nice addition to this potentially lethal passing game
18 - CHI: Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State
(Cooper, OG)With Knox being cut, and Hester not wanting to play offense, Wheaton makes sense here as an explosive slot guy
19 - WAS: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
Reid has been falling down draft boards, but that won't bother the Redskins who need a playmaker at the position
20 - MIN: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
(Patterson, WR) Williams would give the Vikings a big-bodied run stuffer up front, which they badly need
21 - CIN: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
The Bengals snag a starting-caliber safety here, and continue to draft high-quality play makers
22 - MIA: D.J. Swearinger, FS, South Carolina
The mini run on safeties continues here, and the Dolphins get a deep anchor
23 - GB: Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin
(Bernard, HB) Jeff Saturday announced his retirement, meaning the Pack need a new center
24 - SEA: Khaseem Greene, OLB, Rutgers
(T Williams, WR) The Seahawks round off their defense with a WLB with exceptional coverage skills
25 - HOU: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
(Ogletree, LB) Hopkins is another steal this late. He has #1 skills and potential, which the Texans need
26 - DEN: Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
(Banks, CB) McGahee is wearing out, Moreno hasn't shown much, and Hillman is just a 3rd down back
27 - NE: David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State
(Jenkins, NT) The Pats need to find a CB/S early, and Amerson is the best one on the board here
28 - ATL: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
(Eifert, TE) Injury concerns could scare teams away from Carradine, but he's a risk worth taking here
29 - SF: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
(Floyd, DT) Trufant would be a solid replacement for Rogers or Brown
30 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
(Woods, WR) Minter would be a more than suitable replacement for Ray Lewis in Baltimore
31 - CLE: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Cleveland used their 2nd pick to take WR Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft
32 - NO: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
The Saints forfeit their 2012 & 2013 2nd round picks due to Bounty Gate
