Average Rank: 3.3 out of 5 (3 votes) -- Rank This Mock Draft
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
If the Chiefs resign BRANDEN ALBERT, I cannot see them taking another linemen with this first pick. Although they could get better upfront, they are very young and are still developing. With a better QB option here with the first overall, I feel that the issues up front will subside as Andy Reid will get the best out of his players.

2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
The worst pass rushing team in the entire NFL needs a dynamic pass rusher and there isn't a better one than Werner. I'm all for Jacksonville cutting Jeremy Mincey and saving out on some of his overpaid contract. Maybe use some of those extra dollars to sign Alex Smith after he himself is cut or deal for another Miami flee in Matt Moore.

3 - OAK: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Let's face it, the Raiders have too many issues to fix in one draft and with 4 of their front seven being UFA's going into this offseason, it's time to rebuild. Although most people have Star here, I pick Mingo because he would be a great fit at OLB in a 4-3 defense and has a ton of potential as a pass rusher off the edge, something the Raiders have longed for over the past 3 seasons.

4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Although the Eagles are known to go after star play makers with a pick this early, new head coach Chip Kelly is understandably going to want/need a better offensive line, especially on the edges. With this pick, they get the best offensive linemen in the entire draft.

5 - DET: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
This is another interesting choice as the best defensive linemen is still on the board in Star Lotulelei but the Lions have 2 holes to fill on each end of the defensive line. If they can somehow manage to keep Cliff Avril in Detroit, then this pick will not happen but it doesn't look like that will be a possibility. Jordan can be a great presence as a pass rusher and run stopping tackler and would complement Suh very well.

6 - CLE: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
After the Browns under achieved against the pass last season, finishing in the bottom 7 in the NFL, and most likely letting Sheldon Brown walk in free agency, I predict that they will continue to get younger in the backfield. They are in a division full of great quarterbacks now with Flacco, Big Ben and Andy Dalton now moving up the ladder. Cornerbacks and Safeties have never been more valuable to the AFC North.

7 - ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
The worst offensive line in the NFL needs an overhaul and to start, they will replace the crucial position at LT. It's far too early to take a guard here and Fisher has been exploding up draft boards as of late and for good reason.

8 - BUF: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
There's no way Buffalo can let the best defensive linemen slide from their fingertips especially when they are in desperate need for help up front against the rush. Lotulelei will immediately fit their scheme under a brand new Mike Pettine led defense and will just push through each and every line. Can't ask for much more then that.

9 - NYJ: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Although their is speculation that Jones' injury is far too alarming to take this high especially for a team coming off a horrendous season, Rex Ryan is still trying to find a balanced rhythm in his defense. The green and white are terrific against the pass but the pass rush has been almost entirely absent. Jones will be a great pass rusher with play making ability from the outside and will replace Calvin Pace after the Jets cut him from their cap.

10 - TEN: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
As Kenny Britt continues his downward spiral on and off the field, I expect the Titans will try and get another big play maker on the offensive side of the ball. Although a CB is necessary, I don't think Xavier Rhodes is worth a 10th overall pick.

11 - SD: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The Chargers have a new head coach who's an expert with QBs and I expect his first concern is finally protecting Phillip Rivers inside the pocket. With 2 UFA guards on this starting offensive line that gave up 49 sacks last season, how can the Chargers do anything else with their first selection here?

12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Miami will elect to get a playmaker for young QB Ryan Tannehill and they get that weapon in Allen who will serve as a dangerous red zone threat.

13 - TB: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
The Bucs are more then happy to see Damontre Moore fall to them at pick #13 as they get a capable pass rusher to help a weak defensive line.

14 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The Panthers need to continue getting better on defense and Hankins will serve as a perfect compliment to Charles Johnson. With Hankins, the Panthers will put a wall up against inside runs and draw some double teams on the right side of center. In theory, this will make Charles Johnson even better so there's no way you can pass on Hankins here.

15 - NO: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Most people have Manti dropping down dramatically based on character issues (untrue ones) and possible size concerns for the position but people are forgetting just how incredibly smart this kid is. He's great in coverage, can fill gaps on the inside, and race down running backs to the sidelines. Rob Ryan being elected the new defensive coordinator for the Saints really makes this pick make more sense. Will Smith back to DE and Hawthorne to OLB after this pick for 3-4 scheme.

16 - STL: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Although I think the Rams would like to make a splash and pick up a WR here, they can wait until a later round. First thing's first, they need to get better with their blocking and Lane Johnson has proven he is more than capable of not only protecting his QB but also helping in the run game.

17 - PIT: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
As the Steelers continue to lose their identity of being the big bully defensive unit they were just a few short years ago, they will decide it's time to start getting much, much younger on the defensive side of the ball. Kevin Minter will provide a great talent to an aging 3-4 linebacker system.

18 - DAL: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
The Cowboys have switched from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense and this process might take a while to take form. Grabbing a new DT makes a lot of sense to fill that gap.

19 - NYG: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
The Giants are under the radar as a rebuilding franchise especially after a recent superbowl victory, but after some cap cuts and a new identity on defense in the works, it's time to draft a new DE.

20 - CHI: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Bears have the play makers already, what they need is an offensive line that stays healthy and doesn't allow 44 sacks in a season. As starting RG Lance Louis leaves for free agency, I expect a guard picked here and Cooper is the best available.

21 - CIN: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The Bengals have many options here as their entire defense is falling apart to free agency. As they watch 3 veteran CBs walk away, Rhodes makes the most sense to me, especially since I think they need to resign Maualuga.

22 - STL: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
St. Louis will grab a play maker with this pick to play alongside Amendola after he's resigned. Although Tavon Austin may be the better all around receiver, Hunter is bigger and stronger and fills a need for a red zone threat receiver.

23 - MIN: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
It's evident that the Vikings are in desperate need of another receiver but I don't think they will find him here. I expect them to make a big signing in the free agent market (Mike Wallace anybody?) and draft a SS to fill in for the leaving Jamarca Sanford.

24 - IND: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
The Colts need to continue rebuilding their defense which gave up the 4th most rushing yards in the NFL last season. Jonathan Jenkins could drop to them and could immediately make a sprawling difference to that front seven against the run.

25 - SEA: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
The Seahawks became one of the best defenses in football last season and they aren't losing much. With the addition of Dan Quinn as new DC, we still aren't exactly sure of what kind of scheme they will run and Montgomery gives them flexibility as he can play DE and OLB. This will give them more depth up front.

26 - GB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
This will be an interesting pick for GB who could very well go with Fluker to fight for the stariting RT spot but I think a defensive back makes more sense. In a division made up of great offense, Banks could come in as the nickel corner and take pressure off of the front seven.

27 - HOU: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
As Andre Johnson grows older, it becomes clear that the Texans need to find someone to not only play across from him but to also take over the reigns. Tavon Austin is a quick possession receiver with plenty of ability. Although he doesn't have the size, he could draw double coverage downfield and take pressure off of Andre Johnson.

28 - DEN: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
Although Tyler Eifert is a very possible pick here to bring in more weapons for Manning, I think Datone Jones is far too valuable to let pass here. As of now, you have 2 d-linemen possibly leaving for free agency and Jones could replace one of them immediately in that defensive.

29 - NE: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
New England is consistently at the bottom of the NFL in yards against and although the AFC East has the worst passing offenses aside from New England, bringing in a new weapon in the backfield would serve a major purpose. Trufant has been rising up boards lately and could possibly go directly to Belichick.

30 - ATL: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
The Falcons are going to have a very high pressured offseason as they get ready to replace hall of famer Tony Gonzalez and an aging center who is an UFA. In my opinion, it's hard to pass on the quarterback of the greatest offensive line all last season in college football. Barrett Jones might not be a center in the NFL but his versatility on the OL would really help replenish their strength.

The 49ers overpowering defensive will look to get even more versatile with the addition of up and coming DT Jesse Williams.

32 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The Ravens will have to do the unthinkable and replace the greatest MLB who ever played the game. This is an impossible task but at least Ogletree can provide some sort of production there and maybe help fans get through their personnel loss.

Above Average -- Love your comments, and information about UFA's. Would have given you 5 stars, but I think 3 QBs go in 1st round. Hope to see more rounds from you:-)
