Dannyboyfly's Mock Draft (Round 1)

1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
As much as i'd like to see them take Luke Joeckel, the future is now for Kansas City, and Smith is the closest thing to a franchise QB I can see besides my sleeper in Tyler Wilson. He's explosive, fast, and has a good arm. Kansas City will probably look to trade down if they decide Geno/Joeckel aren't their men.

2 - JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Jax just needs talent and Star Lotuleli is talent. They'll look at add a large pyshical force in the middle in Star, which would be a large improvement for them.

3 - OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Probably the best hybird DE/OLB in this draft and Oakland has no pass rush - once so ever. Damontre will bring a spark to the defense and help them free up other people so they can hit the QB.

4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
An anchor. This guy is the best offensive tackle in this draft with a Joe Thomas style build. Philly's line is terrible and even if Peters returns, Joeckel will be better more than likely.

5 - DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Detriot has no secondary outside of Houston and Delmas. They'll look to lock down the other reciever with Milliner, arguable the best cornerback in this draft.

6 - CLE: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
A rock solid outside rusher, coming out of a powerhouse school in LSU as well. Look for Cleveland to draft him or Jones, who I will explain why later has slipped this far.

7 - ARI: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
This guy could go #1, but he has a spinal issue. He got it at USC, and is now back and wrecking havoc. Arizona has no pass rush and man would this guy add to their rush. They could draft Tyler Wilson, or Landry Jones here - two of which I see being top QB's left on the board here.

8 - BUF: Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
Buffalo pulls a Dolphin. Reachs on someone with a higher ceiling. Tyler Wilson is more complete - but his ceiling isn't as high as Glennons pick arm, 6-6 frame can be. Buddy Nix (GM) said he's drafting a franchise QB, and they try to get one here in Mike Glennon

9 - NYJ: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
Will this happen? Who knows. Rex Ryan would draft JeMarcus Russel to play linebacker if he could (joke...) anyways - They pick up the 3rd best QB on the board and 3rd QB off the board in this pick. Huge arm, lots of talent, super atheletic. Played SEC, not a ton of room left to grow from what I can tell though. Look for him to be picked here or end of 1st round.

10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The best interior defender in the draft goes early and man is he good. Titans need to add to their line and Warmack will add a great dimension to their team.

11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Easily the best OT left on the boards here and it's no secret the Chargers need help. Fisher has top 10 talent and will do a good job for the Chargers need.

12 - MIA: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Reggie Bush being their only offensive weapon with Hartline emerging, they need more receiving talent and they take the pyshical specimen in Patterson. He has A.J. Green like build, and has good speed.

13 - TB: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
They got Mark Barron last year, now they add another safety to play with him. Both can stop the run and play the pass. Either can play FS/SS, and he's a good pick here being BPA.

14 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Carolinas D Line needs help and Hankins is the man for it. Hankins was a huge force causing 8 TFL's at OSU and will look to help the Panthers by being the huge force he is.

15 - NO: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
NO Needs to make their defense younger and Richardson will help and is the BPA, he's a large force in the middle and will be hard to move. This addresses their need on the Dline aswell.

16 - STL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Rams need O-Line help and they'll add the second best OG in the draft by taking Cooper. They need reciever help too but this is a reach for any other reciever.

17 - PIT: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
This is a perfect pick. Manti hurt his stock with the scandle, but Pitt needs a new MLB - bad. He'd fit the scheme perfectly and this is a match made in heaven for Pitt.

18 - DAL: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Just a well rounded cover-2 safety that would help Claiborne out and allow for them to add depth into that secondary.

19 - NYG: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
It's between Rhodes(Nickle) and Ogletree. Ogletree is a better pass protector then Manti, but Ogletree fits their scheme a lot better than Manti would so they don't trade up to snatch him. He's not much worst than Jones from what I could see.

20 - CHI: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Bam. Give Jay Cutler a monsterous, Gronk sized TE that can be a superstar, and you have someone to take pressure off of Marshall.

21 - CIN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Plainly - Adding depth to a already rock solid defense. They need more depth to make a deep playoff run and they'll add Mingo's side kick Montgomery to add more pass rush.

22 - STL: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Mr. Do it All. Can play Tackle, Center, and OG. Look for them to take him purely on verstality and he's from the NFL-line bearing god, Alabama.

23 - MIN: Keenan Allen, WR, California
It's Allen or Williams here. Allen isn't a blazer, but he has great hands and great size, and would help Harvin by taking some pressure off, similar to Chicago's issue.

24 - IND: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Earlier today -Jan 25th, I see that Freeney won't be back. They take a raw, hard nose DE here to replace him in Ezekiel. He's tall and fast, and gets the QB well.

25 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
Golden Tate and Rice need help. Williams will add a lot of depth and is a fast reciever. RG3 was his QB one year and he's a fantastic deep threat.

26 - GB: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
They have no rushing attack, and Lacy is one of the best RB on the board, and runs HARD. Great addition to a strong Packers attack/

27 - HOU: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Percy Harvin V2 screams to me here. Houston gets a new reciever and Tavon is a great athlete. Everyone wants Cobb/Harvin, and they get one here.

28 - DEN: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Adding youth to the line, this guy is a great RT, and will help Clady by being solid on the opposite side. They'll look for another RB, but Lacy got sniped 2 picks prior.

29 - NE: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Adding youth to a already young defense is wise for the Pats. There not getting any younger in the middle, and Jesse can play on a 5 front well, and play on a 4-3 front as well.

30 - ATL: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
Tony Gonzalez is hanging up the cleats, and they take the BPA at TE here.

31 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
Ray Lewis is retiring, easy to explain here. Take the best ILB you can, fill the hole.

32 - SF: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Top 20 talent, 32nd overall. They'll try and move people around in the back field, but they need help at Safety if they can't return Goldson
