Average Rank: 3.0 out of 5 (2 votes) -- Rank This Mock Draft
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Andy Reid came to philly and got Mcnabb, turned the Eagles franchise into contenders. Same situation here, Mcnabb was not a popular pick, neither is Smith, but its the biggest need and he is the best available. Smith is very accurate, is mobile, smart QB, not the strongest arm but an experienced QB. Other possibilities are trade down, Joeckel and Star.

2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Very JJ Watt like, great pass rush skills, not very quick but powerful and shows great ability to knock down passes. Biggest need for Jaguars

3 - OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Many needs, but an edge rusher is maybe the biggest. Only word to describe him is BEAST, very strong, powerful, much needed help rushing the passer for the Raiders. Moore is suspect against the run, but overall very solid.

4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
I still think they will end up trading down, but if they stay here its the most obvious lock. He is the best player in this draft, he was a star from say 1 in college. He'll give the Eagles a stud RT to go along with the Pro Bowler Jason Peters on the other side. Peters is coming off injury, so if he unable to return, can move Joeckel to LT. This allows Todd Herramens to move back to his original RG spot, giving the Eagles, if Peters and Kelce 100% healthy, a top 5 offense line

5 - DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Another obvious pick in draft with few locks. The Lions secondary was very shaky last year and was their weakness. Millner is a stud who is moving up after a great BCS Championship game, he'll be the Lions starting conerback and will give them a much needed star is the secondary. Millner is big, a great tackler for a conerback, shows great ball skills, not overly quick, but very good all around corner.

6 - CLE: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
This isn't a perfect fit, but if they get Star along slide the emerging Phil Taylor, it will give them maybe the best Defensive Tackle combo in the league. Lotulelei takes on double teams and beats them with ease, he has a great first step, but lacks great pass rushing skills. Has the great ability to stuff the run.

7 - ARI: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Guards simply do not get drafted this high, but Warmack is very deserving of it. He is the best guard we've seen in a while and while the Cardinals could use a QB, they need to address their guard spot. They found 2 young tackles who gradually improved, but Warmack is can't miss kind of guy. Sensational run blocker, pushes guys around like rag dolls, great attitude, high motor. Flawless.

8 - BUF: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
A lot have said Ryan Nassib here, but its too early, I do not feel he'll be gone by their second round pick. Bills need an interior linebacker, because Nick Barnett has been decent, but he is aging. Bills have a strong front 4, and good playmakers in the secondary, and Te'o will step in a become the leader of a very talented defense.

9 - NYJ: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
A dream pick for the Jets if he falls here, they do not have the edge rusher in that 3-4 defense that they need, and they will get that if Jones falls here. Jones profiles as a 3-4 OLB, with the ability to cover well. He is great fast pass rusher, who can beat double teams with ease. Needs to improve against the run, but is a great fit.

10 - TEN: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
A bit of a project, but the raw ability is off the charts. He is very long, has one of the best first steps out there, but lacks the football game one needs. If he learns the ins and outs of football, the Titans will get the great pass rusher to play across from the disappointing Derrick Morgan.

11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Such a talented team, mind boggling how they aren't better. Mike McCoy has won with Tim Tebow, so he should have no problems helping Philip Rivers, but Rivers needs time to throw and the offensive line has had plenty of injuries and inconsistency. Fisher a fast rising tackle, 6-8 very tall for a tackle, but maybe has not faced the talented pass rushers needed to fully see his talent. Nevertheless, he uses his very tall frame to not let guys get past him.

12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Dolphins hit their pick perfectly with Ryan Tannehill, now they need to give him some weapons. They have enough running backs to last 20 years, but only 1 real weapon in Brian Hartline. Allen, at 6-3, a former saftey, has great ball skills and he knows just how to get open.

13 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Tampa who have developed a very good front 7, were the worst pass defense in the league. They got Mark Barron last year and now they need to get a starting corner next to/to replace Ronde Barber. Banks is not elite, but has very good ball skills, 16 career INTs, and uses this length to help.

14 - CAR: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
A guy rising fast, gives Panthers a much needed interior run stuffer. They nailed Luke Kuechly last year, and now they need this interior presence. While they need a wide reciever, Williams is exceptional vs the run, not a great pass rusher but a nice pick here.

15 - NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Defense, defense, then more defense for the Saints. Jordan was not greatly productive in college, but is extremely versatile. Former tight end, shows good motor, good pass rush skills, weak against the run, but the Saints have problems rushing the passer, and Jordan will help that.

16 - STL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Rams got great new corners in Janoris Jenkins and Cortland Finnegan, but they lack a true safety and Vaccaro is great. Vaccaro is exceptional cover safety who shows good ball skills. He is a bit weak against the run and got arrested in college, but overall he should helped an up and coming Rams defense.

17 - PIT: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Steelers need to get younger on defense, they have greatly improved their offense line now its the front 7, and what better way to do it then take the most physically athletic player in the draft. Ansah, has very little experience but his physical tools are off the charts. Standing 6-6, he has a long frame, very quick for his size and is incredibly versatile. He profiles as a 3-4 OLB, because he is weak against the run and lacks a lot of playing experience. Dick LeBeau would be drooling.

18 - DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Dallas a team with loads of talent yet they continually underachieve. Their line is in shambles outside of the tremendous Tyron Smith. Cooper is a very solid all around guard who could help solidify a weak inside offensive line. He is a tremendous pass blocker, a very nasty run blocker and has the great ability to get to the second level with very good quickness. He doesn't have elite size, but a true mauler.

19 - NYG: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
With Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora getting up there in age, and Osi becoming a free agent the Giants need another end opposite the sensational Jason Pierre-Paul. Montgomery is very powerful, aggressive end. He is very strong vs the run, showing great discipline and power, he plays with tons of emotion and will be a leader. Not a great pass rusher, yet, but with Tuck and Montgomery opposite JPP, its a great 1-2 punch for the Giants.

20 - CHI: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
The best teams in the NFL have good tight ends and the Bears need a pass catching tight end. While concerns on the offensive line might be more prevalent Eifert is too big of a differance maker to pass up. Standing at 6-5 he is a sensational receiving tight end, but has improved his blocking. Great versatility to be split out wide, and creates impossible matchups for defenders. Lacks great speed, and route running ability, but has the hands of a receiver and great leaping ability.

21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The Bengals have a very good front 4, but their linebacking play has been inconsistent over the years. They found Burfict and turned him into a star, but Rey Maualuga has not been great inside. Ogletree could move into that inside MLB spot and push Rey outside, Ogletree was the best player on the field in the SEC Championship game. Has had some discipline problems and occasionally seems to take plays off and wonder, but sometimes he is locked in and is a force. Great vs the run, ok vs pass.

22 - STL: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
Sam Bradford has some weapons out on the field but no big target to help him. Ertz will solve that problem in a second, standing 6-6 he is huge and has great hands. Ertz is great at separating from defenders, and has top end speed for a tight end. A mediocre blocker, who shows a good first step but lacks the power to push guys off. Great 2 picks for the Rams

23 - MIN: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
AJ Green like size for Hunter, standing at 6-4. Runs very fluidly, has a great savvy to get open, doesn't have elite strength but has great ball skills, goes and gets it. Has great big play ability, shows great top end speed to get over the top. The Vikings have a great ground game, but Christian Ponder does not have many threats outside of AP and Harvin, Hunter will give them a great WR combo.

24 - IND: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The Colts simply could not defend the run last year. Hankins looks like a perfect fit at a 3-4 DE. He isn't a good pass rusher, but its exceptional vs the run. He has great size and weight for a player and would help a Colts front 7 to improve

25 - SEA: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Seattle has a good front 4, but no true run stuffer. Mebane and Bryant are good but are not that young anymore and cost a lot. They took a chance and got their guy early in Bruce Irvin last year and turned out perfectly, if Richardson falls the Seahawks would be crazy to pass him up. Great first step quickness, always disrupting plays, great run stuffer, but never gives up. Occasionally lets double teams and lineman push him around and not always responsible in his gap.

26 - GB: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
The Packers are always decimated by injury but find great production out of no where. Minter is a great fit inside along with AJ Hawk, to go along with Clay and Walden on the outside. Minter is an animal, he does anything he needs to, very good at playing the run, gets his man down, reads quarterbacks well and can cover, cerebral. Not a physical player, rather would use jukes and spins to avoid blockers, not always perfect form on tackles, and a touch undersized.

27 - HOU: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Texans need more receivers to go along with the aging Andre Johnson. Patterson a very big, fluid running player. Great at creating space and getting open, great size and gets the jump balls, can box out defenders. Only 1 year at Tennessee, he lacks great experience, and is a developing route runner, often is too physical down field. Also, tends to always go for the home run ball instead of taking what is there.

28 - DEN: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The Ravens exposed the Broncos' weakness and Rhodes can come in and learn from the Hall of Famer Champ Bailey. Rhodes a big physical corner, who is great at pressing at the line and plays to the whistle. A very confident player, who despite being very physical is quick also. Can be too physical at times, which can lead to pass interference calls, no elite speed and can become undisciplined at times and become to intense. Poor vs the run

29 - NE: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
The Patriots are a very talented but lack a true number 1 receiver. They have the best tight end combo in the league, and Wes Welker could walk and is a slot receiver. Hopkins often overshadowed by the great Sammy Watkins, does not seem like a big guy but plays bigger than his 6-1 frame suggest. Great in air ball skills, plucks balls out of the air, he will get everything. Good job at setting up defenders, but needs to improve his route running, and get the tiny details of receiver down.

30 - ATL: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Falcons need help vs the run, as the game vs the 49ers showed. Played defensive end at Florida, but profiles at defensive tackle. Not very tall, 6-3, but very wide, 303 lbs. Shows good first step and uses his hands very well, tough 1 on 1 to block. Not that quick, lacks great pass rush skills.

31 - BAL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
The Ravens need a true slot reciever and Austin provides them with that, but also great versatility. Great speed, quickness, good hands, great job of getting open. His size limits him at 5-9, he only can be a slot guy. He is not that physical and does not have top end speed.

32 - SF: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
With Justin Smith gaining in age the Niners need is predecessor and Short is an ideal fit. Great gap shooter and very strong, enough to hold off double teams, great a shooting gaps and making plays in the backfield. Never injured, but lacks a great motor, on and off every play, conditioning an issue. Can get washed out by lineman and can lack gap responsibility often.
