sorensen2162's Mock Draft (Round 1)

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
It's hard to see Andy Reid not taking a QB, but G.Smith and T.Wilson are NOT worth the #1 pick. I think they let Albert walk in FA and take the best overall player in the draft. Reid can still get his man in Rd.2 of this draft class.

2 - JAX: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
This pick has trade bait written all over it. Most mocks I've seen have the Jags going DL. Their secondary needs attention and soon. If there wasn't such a huge drop off between Milliner and the rest of the CBs I may feel differently about this...but there is so Jax locks him up.

3 - OAK: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
With the number of FAs Oak has, this pick will really depend on who they decide to keep. At the end of the day I feel they will let their veteran FA DL walk and add a young, explosive pass-rusher.

4 - PHI: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
New era in Philly. Really don't see Nick Foles as the franchise guy. They can shore up the OL and LB later.

5 - DET: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Interior OL never go this high...until now. Warmack is that good. Det has built their DL and now need to give some attention to the other side. Stafford is much better when he's not getting chased around too.

6 - CLE: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The Browns have a ton of cap space and I fully expect JH3 and Co. to go after some big FAs. The new regime has been looking to make a splash. Drafting the best OLB who excels at rushing the passer should add some excitement to an otherwise vanilla defense.

7 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Barkley didn't get horrible all of sudden. At the end of the day I think Barkley is still the best QB in this class. Lane Kiffin didn't do any USC prospects any favors.

8 - BUF: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Hunter lining up across from Stevie Brown just seems unfair. Some have the Bills taking Nassib here, I just don't see why. Nassib should be available in Rd. 2 or 3.

9 - NYJ: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
The Jets get a steal with this pick. Moore will inject the Jets D with youth and athleticism all while filling a glaring need at OLB.

10 - TEN: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Munchak knows the importance of building the lines. Fisher can come in and start or play behind Stewart and Roos while getting used to the faster competition.

11 - SD: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Lotulelei will come in and start right away. What a steal for SD. Arguably the best player in the draft falling to 11 gift wrapped with a bow on top. This pick shouldn't take long to get in.

12 - MIA: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Pretty much a no brainer here. Really the only question is which WR Mia ends up taking. I think Patterson has the most upside.

13 - TB: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Mingo is too good to pass up, plus he fills a need. TB will address the secondary in later rounds and FA.

14 - CAR: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
When you have as much invested in your QB and RBs as CAR it only makes sense to protect said investments.

15 - NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Will play OLB for NO. Big guy with long arms and a frame with room to grow.

16 - STL: Rick Wagner, OT, Wisconsin
Easily their biggest need. I expect Ricky Wagner to jump ahead of some other prospects after the combine. More sound lineman than most and comes from program of proven NFL talent.

17 - PIT: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
PIT needs to get younger on the defensive side. Gets to line up next to former Buckeye teammate and PIT first rounder C. Heyward.

18 - DAL: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Combination of size , versatility, and raw athleticism make him too hard for JJ to pass up.

19 - NYG: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Unless they sign a FA TE, the G-Men will have 1 TE on their roster. I still believe that Eifert is a better all around player than Ertz.

20 - CHI: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Even if the Bears resign Urlacher, his career is about over. Te'o is a great character guy and just an all and all great player. Good fit for both parties.

21 - CIN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
I expect Cincy to go heavy on D in the draft. Montgomery at 21 would be a steal in most drafts, but the top tier players this year just all seem to be on the defensive side.

22 - STL: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Great against the run. Will compliment Brockers nicely inside.

23 - MIN: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Winfield isn't getting any younger. Big CB who shut down SEC opponents.

24 - IND: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
The guy is a monster who can stuff the run and open up lanes for LBs. Better than any DT they had in 2012 hands down.

25 - SEA: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
Another stud DL prospect from UNC. Nice replacement for Jason Jones if he doesn't come back.

26 - GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Jones will be perfect for the Pack. The guy is a stud who played every position on the line. I would expect him to come in and start at guard and eventually move over to center.

27 - HOU: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Still looking for someone to compliment A. Johnson. Allen should take some attention off #80 and be the the #2 WR this team has needed.

28 - DEN: David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State
Pretty obvious that the secondary needs some attention after that painful playoff loss. Amerson should move back up boards during the pre-draft process. He is bigger, faster and more durable than X.Rhodes.

29 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
Ray Ray won't be around anymore so that opens up a glaring hole. I have BAL taking Minter over Ogletree mainly due to durability issues.

30 - ATL: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
T.Gonzalez is a HUGE piece of ATL's offense. They will need someone to try and fill his shoes.

31 - SF: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
D.Goldson more than likely won't be back. Reid may prove to be a significant upgrade anyhow due to his cover skills.

32 - NE: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Electric playmaker. If Welker leaves can also play slot.
