Got 5 picks exactly right

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Actual Pick: Eric Fisher. I had stated that it would be one of the OTs
2 - JAX: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Actual Pick: Luke Joeckel. It was bound to be the OT the Chiefs didn't take
3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Actual Pick: Dion Jordan, Miami Dolphins. I said this was prime trade down spot. I never saw the Dolphins trading up for Jordan though, thought it would be Lane Johnson
4 - PHI: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Actual Pick: Lane Johnson. Got this one right
5 - DET: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Actual Pick: Ansah. Got this one right
6 - CLE: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Actual Pick: Barkevious Mingo. Pass Rush was my second guess if they didn't trade down. It'll be interesting to see if they move Jabaal Sheard now.
7 - ARI: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Actual Pick: Jonathan Cooper. I didn't think they would still pick OL if the top tackles were gone. I also didn't see them picking Cooper over Warmack
8 - BUF: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
Actual Pick: Tavon Austin, St Louis Rams. It wasn't surprising to see the Rams move up for Austin or the Bills moving down to get their QB at a better price.
9 - NYJ: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Actual Pick: Dee Milliner. With Mingo, Jordan and Austin gone, this pick made sense.
10 - TEN: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Actual Pick: Chance Warmack. I had mocked a guard here for months, I should have stuck to my guns
11 - SD: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Actual Pick: Fluker. Got this one right
12 - MIA: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Actual Pick: DJ Hayden, Oakland Raiders. I would have thought the Raiders would go DT, but rumors swirled yesterday that they were going to pick Hayden, even at #3 if they had to. Word is they also considered Geno here for a minute.
13 - NYJ: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Sheldon Richardson. I never would have predicted that, because it doesn't make sense. They already have the DE position locked down.
14 - CAR: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Actual Pick: Star Lotulelei. I knew they would go DT, but didn't expect Star to drop
15 - NO: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Actual Pick: Vaccaro. Got this one right
16 - STL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Actual Pick: EJ Manuel, Buffalo Bills. Surprised the Bills went Manuel over Geno, Barkley and Nassib.
17 - PIT: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Actual Pick: Jarvis Jones. I had mocked this pick a few times but ultimately thought they'd go offense
18 - DAL: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Actual Pick: Eric Reid, San Fran 49ers. I mentioned that Dallas might move up or down depending on how the draft went. They ended up moving down. I also said the Niners were a move up candidate. I didn't have Reid as a first round pick so I just missed this pick altogether.
19 - NYG: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
Actual Pick: Just Pugh. I figured the Giants would stick to drafting pass rushers. In previous mocks I had them taking Fluker so it wasn't unheard of that they might go OL though. I had Pugh as an early 2nd round pick.
20 - CHI: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
Actual Pick: Kyle Long. I had mocked the Bears going OL in the past but didn't think they'd go for Long here. I had Long as an early 2nd round pick.
21 - CIN: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
Actual Pick: Tyler Eifert. Never mocked the Bengals going Eifert. I guess they had him rated highest on their board when it was their turn.
22 - STL: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
Actual Pick: Desmond Trufant, Atlanta Falcons. I mentioned the Rams trading down and the Falcons trading up, so that wasn't a surprise. I also mocked Trufact to the Falcons, it just happened earlier than I thought.
23 - MIN: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Actual Pick: Shariff Floyd. I didn't expect him to drop this far, but I didn't mock the Vikings going DT so it makes sense they'd pick him here.
24 - IND: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Actual Pick: Bjoern Werner. I would have never guessed Werner to the Colts. This is the right range for Werner but I didn't see him as an OLB in a 3-4 and not for the Colts.
25 - MIN: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
Actual Pick: Xavier Rhodes. I thought they might go CB in previous mocks, so this isn't a surprise.
26 - GB: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
Actual Pick: Datone Jones. Got this one right, but I wish I had gotten it wrong and they picked Eddie Lacy, ha ha.
27 - HOU: Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
Actual Pick: Deandre Hopkins. I had mocked this pick right in the past, but the Texans have annually gone against common thinking and passed on WRs in the first round.
28 - PHI: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Actual Pick: Sylvester Williams, Denver Broncos. I got the one trade I predicted wrong. The Broncos going DT isn't surprising, I had that in earlier mocks. But lately I've been mocking Lacy here if the Broncos didn't trade.
29 - NE: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Actual Pick: Cordarrelle Patterson, Minnesota Vikings. I thought the Pats might trade back but didn't see the Vikings trading up. I had Patterson in this range and the Vikings taking him earlier mocks though
30 - ATL: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Actual Pick: Alec Ogletree, St Louis Rams. I had mocked Ogletree to the Rams in earlier mocks, but didn't predict this trade happening.
31 - SF: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Actual pick: Travis Frederick, Dallas Cowboys. I knew the Cowboys would want OL help, but never mocked Frederick this high.
32 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Matt Elam. I had mocked Elam to them in the past, but changed my mind.

Above Average -- :) smileS!

Below Average -- The Rams will take a safety at 22..Det.will not take a CB at 5.
Friday, January 25, 2013 7:52 PM
Average -- Geno won't fall out of top 10, let alone top 20.
Friday, January 25, 2013 11:47 PM
Excellent -- Disagree with both above me. Totally agree with Detroit
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 2:48 PM
Average -- Sylvester Williams wont be a 1st rounder
Thursday, January 31, 2013 9:56 PM
Average -- I was really hoping the Vikes would be one of the teams to trade down. I think the Vikes go with the top WR on their draft board...which will be Justin Hunter. Hankins is a good option if you don't want to go that route tho.
Friday, February 1, 2013 9:01 PM
Average -- I would hope Dallas would take Hankins if he is still on the board. warmack is the only guard worth it and don't tell me they need to draft a RT the Cowboys need a DT and the depth at that position this year is good.
Monday, February 4, 2013 9:39 PM
Above Average -- Congratz your the first one not to mock a WR to seattle. They draft like GB. Only take WR after 3rd round
Wednesday, February 13, 2013 9:09 PM
Below Average -- You missed quite a bit. For starters, KC will not draft Luke Joeckel first.
Thursday, February 14, 2013 7:52 AM
Average -- -I made my case. If they let Albert go then they draft Joekel. Matt Barkley is a West Coast offense QB, Geno Smith isn't. Andy Reid runs a West Coast Offense. So they go OT then QB. I don't know who else you consider a #1 pick.
Thursday, February 21, 2013 2:15 PM
Above Average -- Very good draft bro. Also thanks for making my Jags drafting Bjoern Werner because this guy is a freaking monster! I watched his highlights
Wednesday, February 27, 2013 2:33 PM
Average -- Ted Thompson & the Packers will not go after Steven Jackson or any other FA RB. They will go ILB/OLB/DL/OL/ in the 1st round. The highest rated player on their board at one of those positions will be their pick. DE and NT are their biggest defnsive needs
Thursday, February 28, 2013 12:20 PM
-- I agree ILB is a need, but they drafted OLB in first round last year. In my mock no OL is left worth #26. DE is possible but Raji seems set at the NT position, unless you're counting him as DE.
Thursday, February 28, 2013 2:29 PM
Below Average -- N.E. gets extra picks (plural) and Tavon Austin? Pats fan?
Friday, March 1, 2013 7:51 AM
-- Pats fan? No. Before last year, the Patriots always traded back. This year they only have 5 picks, so I'm guessing they try to acquire more. Austin falls to them cause he's 5'7" and 170 lbs.
Friday, March 8, 2013 5:00 PM
Below Average -- As I repeat myself the Packers will not draft a RB in the 1st round. Clearly you don't understand Ted Thompsons drafting record.
Monday, March 11, 2013 2:48 PM
-- So you came back to give my mock a bad review again huh? Thanks lol. I explained my pick last time you commented, I haven't changed my mind yet.
Monday, March 11, 2013 4:32 PM
Poor -- Ignorancew=stubborness I'll eat your shoes if The Packers draft a RB in the 1st round.
Tuesday, March 12, 2013 1:30 PM
-- Ok. What about free agency? Also, what's your username? I'd love to check out your mock. I have to see your genius in action.
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 6:22 PM
Average -- I apologize to this Mock writer I was convinced the Packers would'nt go after Steven Jackson, BUT, I still say that if Jackson isn't signed, NO WAY They take a RB round 1, NO WAY!!
Thursday, March 14, 2013 1:53 PM
-- I appreciate your acknowledgement. I've moved them off Lacy in my latest, but that could change back if RB is a need. Their offense is at it's best with solid running.
Thursday, March 14, 2013 2:40 PM
Average -- The packers do need a better running game but real good 3 down backs can be had after the 1st and that's what they'll do, they like Michael from A&M a lot, DL-OL 1st round.
Thursday, March 14, 2013 5:42 PM
Above Average -- Some insight on Ted Thompson's draft philosophy: RB, S, WR, TE, CB are not as valued in the 1st rnd. It's about $ & risk vs need. TT's drafts 1st rnd= QB-OL-DL-LB. He feels RB,TE,& WR are better value in later rnds. Although he was going to draft M Ingram
Thursday, March 28, 2013 4:31 PM
Above Average -- This version looks good. Williams to the Packers is excellent value & need. Please forget Lacy, he's not a franchise back .TT will trade down if his guys aren't there. Safety & RB from 2nd down. DE, DT, maybe OLB if he's a top talent.
Monday, April 1, 2013 11:51 AM
Average -- I think you've improved, but still have the Lacy going high in the 1st problem.
Monday, April 1, 2013 12:25 PM
-- If Lacy doesn't work out well this month, he'll drop down my mock. I'm just not predicting that to happen as of now. RBs are regularly over drafted, so a needy time could reach for him.
Monday, April 1, 2013 6:14 PM
Above Average -- I think it's hard to place Lacy exceptof course it won't be in GB. Jesse Williams is the perfect pick @ 26.Been reported they love L. Bell maybe in the 2nd. Trade down is highly likely this draft is deeeeeep 3rd-5th rnds.
Tuesday, April 2, 2013 7:57 AM
-- Good point regarding how deep this draft is. I've tried to do a 4 round mock and it's incredibly difficult. After about 15 picks, it seems the next 75 picks could go a lot of ways.
Thursday, April 4, 2013 11:39 AM
Poor -- The Steelers draft BPA on their board. No way Lacy will be their top guy there. Jarvis Jones would be that guy in your scenario.
Thursday, April 4, 2013 12:31 PM
-- A poor rating for a single pick, always a good sign. The jury is still out on Lacy. You have some analysts saying he's top 10 worthy. If that's the case, RB needy Steelers at #17 makes sense. We'll see how it plays out. JarvisJones does make sense though.
Thursday, April 11, 2013 3:27 PM
Poor -- Erm, Jarvis Jones - where is he? Steelers would address LB over WR, so either A. Brown or J. Jones. At a push M. Elam. Bears need LB & SAF before CB. Werner below Carradine, and the Patriots taking another pass rusher?
Friday, April 12, 2013 1:16 PM
-- J Jones was a mistake. Its corrected. Steelers are weaker at WR (if Sanders leaves) than LB, and A Brown doesn't fit there. Bears could go a lot of ways, Trufant is BPA. Werner will end up drafted after Carradine. Pats' pass rush is middle of the pack.
Tuesday, April 16, 2013 5:15 PM
Average -- If Lotulelei is there at 13 the Bucs will set a new land speed record getting their card in.
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 10:34 AM
-- Very possible, but I hear they LOVE Austin
Thursday, April 18, 2013 1:21 PM
Excellent -- Alot of the same ideas I have. Nicely done
