1/24 jrnwaldman's Mock Draft 2
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Dont think there is a better option at QB.
2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Could also see Domontre Moore here.
3 - OAK: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Probably the best player in the draft.
4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Automatic upgrade to a horrible line.
5 - DET: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Solid upgrade. Could be Werner depending who jax takes.
6 - CLE: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
There defense isnt bad. Weeden needs a receiver that could be dominant.
7 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Need a QB and hope they can help the o-line in free agencyagency
8 - BUF: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Personally think he is overrated and he reminds me of Rey Maualuga. Hopefully not though.
9 - NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
They need a QB but Rex is still in love with Sanchez. Get another pass rusher but could also get a safety
10 - TEN: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Probably the best corner in the draft.
11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Need major help on the o-line. Might be the best tackle available.
12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Dont know if hes a true number 1 receiver but hes probably the best available
13 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Maybe the second best corner. Might go with Rhodes depends on the combine.
14 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Doubt he falls this far but the panthers would love him to.
15 - NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
could use an athletic pass rusher.
16 - STL: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Dont think he will fall that far but look at last years draft with Decastro.
17 - PIT: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
They could also take a linebacker or a safety. Reid or Vaccaro. Ogletree or Minter would also upgrade.
18 - DAL: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
Upgrade for the run defense. Could also go with a safety
19 - NYG: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
Would be a good upgrade. Could also use a safety or a corner
20 - CHI: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Cutler needs help maybe Fluker or could look to replace Urlacher
21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Rey Maualuga has been terrible in pass defense and is a free agent. Also lacks speed and misses too many tackles. Could also go with Minter or take a safety.
22 - STL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Some much needed help for bradford. Could go with Terrance Williams.
23 - MIN: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Solid pick to upgrade d-line. might go with Patterson to help Ponder.
24 - IND: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Best available corner or might find a pass rusher. could also upgrade the o-line
25 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
Ray Lewis's replacement? Good luck but could be a solid player. might try to replace Ed Reed also.
26 - SEA: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Upgrade at receiver that Russell Wilson would love.
27 - GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Greenbay also needs help on the o-line. may also look for a DB.
28 - HOU: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
May solidify a great Texans D.
29 - SF: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Justin Smith isnt getting any younger.
30 - NE: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
No secret they need help at safety. Elam is a solid player
31 - ATL: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Could use pass rushing help. Probably wont we there after his combine.
32 - DEN: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Would love to get younger on the o-line
