- presuming Demontre Moore goes back to school - presuming Zach Ertz goes back to school - presuming Ezekiel Ansah goes back to school
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The Chiefs are terrible. They need to replug their operations, and that starts with firing their terrible GM, Scott Pioli. Otherwise, you need to start with a quarterback. Geno Smith is the top quarterback in the draft, and the senior from West Virginia is an extraordinary dual-threat quarterback with great pocket passing ability.

2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The Jaguars appear to be in a rebuild mode, and it appears that Gene Smith won't be returning next offseason. Since there is no quarterback prospect worthy of this selection, the new GM must start with a defensive player. They claimed Jason Babin off waivers, which will be a huge plus to their defense. They need to use this selection to complement him, and that starts with taking Jarvis Jones. Jones, the hybrid DE/OLB from Georgia, is the best pass rusher in the draft.

3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
The Raiders have shown time and time again to be the dirtiest organization in football. Tommy Kelly was just ejected for fighting against the Bengals, and he needs to be cut. Thankfully, there is a great replacement available with this selection, Star Lotulelei. Lotulelei is a talented defensive tackle out of Utah, and is very NFL-ready. He would immediately provide a positive impact on the Raiders defense, and their locker room.

4 - CLE: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
I never advocate taking offensive guards this early. However, the weakest starter on the Browns is Shawn Lauvao, a terrible offensive guard who has complicated their run game and is a terrible pass protector. Chance Warmack, an offensive guard from Alabama, is the most talented offensive guard to enter the NFL draft in years. He is prepared to step in immediately, and any team would be lucky to get an instant upgrade. The Browns need him, and should not caution if they select him.

5 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
The Eagles problems start with their offensive line, which have blocked all aspects of their game. Andy Reid should be fired, and any new coach would not force Todd Herremans to move to tackle, and he should move back to his natural guard position. That means they must select a tackle with this pick, and the top tackle is Luke Joeckel from Texas A&M. The NFL-ready tackle would provide an instant upgrade to the Eagles offensive line, and this pick is a "must need" for the Eagles.

6 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The Panthers decided not to take a defensive tackle last draft, feeling they could put off the need. I highly doubt they feel the same, for backup halfbacks have massacred their defense. They need to start with a defensive tackle, for Dwan Edwards and Sione Fua have been miserable up front. They need to transfer to a 3-4, for they have two great inside linebackers, and they should draft Hankins to play nose tackle, his natural position that he played at Ohio State.

7 - BUF: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Buddy Nix is generally forthcoming in his offseason plans, and he revealed that he desires to take a quarterback. Although Matt Barkley has looked mediocre this season, he has shown several flashes of brilliances in the past two seasons, and is worthy of a first round pick. Barkley is a very good pocket passer, and would be an instant upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has been terrible this season.

8 - SD: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
San Diego has the pieces to succeed, but they need an offensive line to get production. All guards and tackles have been terrible, and they need to take multiple offensive lineman early to secure Phillip Rivers's safety. Lewan is a top-tier offensive tackle who would provide an instant upgrade over Michael Harris (assuming they cut Jared Gaither) or Jeromey Clary, for both have been terrible this season.

9 - NYJ: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Assuming the front office won't replace 'pretty-boy' Sanchez, they will target their biggest need, outside linebacker. Bryan Thomas and Aaron Maybin have been terrible this season. Although Te'o is an inside linebacker, he is the best available fit and is the best player available right now. A Heisman candidate, Te'o is a great pass rusher and intercepter, and looks like an NFL outside linebacker.

10 - TEN: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
I look at Tennessee's defensive depth chart, and I see one massive hole, Alterraun Verner. Verner has been smoked by many wide receivers this season, and they desperately need an upgrade across McCourty. Dee Milliner is the top defensive back this season, and should get similar looks as Morris Claiborne got last draft. Milliner is very talented, and Tennessee desperately needs him, making this a great fit.

11 - ARI: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
I see one massive hole in the Cardinals depth chart, quarterback. All three starters there have been terrible, and Larry Fitzgerald must be begging for a new quarterback. I feel bad for Wilson, who has been hit hard with the firing of Bobby Petrino, and the loss of his three top receivers to the draft last year. I still have faith that Wilson would make a good NFL quarterback, and I strongly urge the Cardinals to use their first round pick on a quarterback, Wilson.

12 - DET: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Chris Houston has been completely unreliable as a defensive backs, and has had some very bad games. They need a new start there, and Banks is perfect. He plays talented wide receivers in the SEC, and has succeeded in covering wideouts. Banks would be an immediate upgrade over Houston, and would make Drayton Florence a happier man.

13 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Sam Bradford has been deprived of a talented wide receiver, which in turn (with terrible pass protection) has stunted his NFL development. St. Louis's first action must be to draft a wide receiver, and atop all boards is Keenan Allen, the athletic wide receiver from Cal. Allen is the most NFL-ready wide receiver in the draft, and would definitely help Bradford's NFL growth.

14 - MIA: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Besides the fact that Mingo is the best player available, he also fills a need. Cameron Wake is the only person who can pass rush on that team. Multiple years of one pass rusher won't pass when you play Tom Brady twice a year. It is a necessity to draft Bingo here, a hybrid DE/OLB who is an NFL-ready LSU product and would be an immediate upgrade over Olivier Vernon at defensive end.

15 - STL: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
As I stated above, Sam Bradford has been deprived of a receiver, and protection. Barry Richardson has been terrible this year, and needs an upgrade. I have seen Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay ranting about how Eric Fisher is very ready to step up to the next level, and he appears to be the top tackle available. After drafting a pass target, Jeff Fisher must draft a tackle to secure Sam Bradford's safety, and nobody is better here than Eric Fisher.

16 - NO: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
The Saints must draft a defensive tackle here to replace Sedrick Ellis, a bust defensive tackle who is a free agent this offseason. John Jenkins is the best defensive tackle available, and has anchored the bulldogs defense this offseason.

17 - DAL: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Boy, did the Cowboys get lucky here. Werner is top ten talent who happened to fall in this mock draft. The Cowboys did not select J.J. Watt in 2009, and paid the penalty of poor pass rushing from the defensive line for the past two years (although Tyron Smith's great blocking may have been worth it). Regardless, they need to select a pass rusher, and Bjoern Werner is the second best defensive end in the draft, and would provide an immediate force to the Cowboys defensive line.

18 - CIN: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Like Mark Barron, Kenny Vaccaro has shown that he has the talent to be a mid-first round selection in this draft. Taylor Mays was so terrible this year that Nate Clements was forced to move from CB3 to SS, and must move back to cornerback next season. Kenny Vaccaro has shown the ability to start immediately in the NFL, and would be a perfect fit for the Bengals.

19 - TB: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The Buccaneers decided that they didn't like Morris Claiborne at 5 last year, and paid the price for not taking him. Matter of fact, they traded starter Aqib Talib to New England, so they are desperate for a cornerback. Rhodes has not necessarily been exceptional this year, but prevented the dynamic wide receiver duo in Clemson (Watkins & Hopkins) from making major plays, and that boosts his stock. So, I encourage the Buccaneers to take Rhodes in this scenario.

20 - MIN: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Percy Harvin has definitely helped Christian Ponder's development, but Jerome Simpson hasn't. They need another option up front. Justin Hunter is very ready for primed NFL production, and the aggressive wideout would be a great compliment to the elusive Percy Harvin, not to mention he would help Ponder grow as a pocket passer.

21 - PIT: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The Steelers cut James Farrior before the season, and have paid the price. They must draft a replacement immediately! Ogletree, who has co-anchored the Bulldog defense with John Jenkins this year, has shown tremendous ability to play inside linebacker. The Steelers must draft him and start him immediately!

22 - SEA: Robert Woods, WR, USC
The Seahawks can't deprive Russell Wilson from a wide receiver. He needs a target, and Woods is suited for the role. Woods, who has been injured all season long, has not posted great numbers. However, that does not mean he is not NFL-ready. Woods would be a great upgrade over the inconsistent Golden Tate and the WR3 "at best" Braylon Edwards.

23 - IND: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Not to mention that Montgomery is a top-15 prospect, the Colts have some work to do on their defense. Their pass rush may have held up this year, but it won't next year. Mathis and Freeney are getting old, and they need to look for replacements either this draft or next. Sam Montgomery, a hybrid DE/OLB who is an LSU product, would be a great selection here because he could be a successor to Freeney and/or Mathis or become an immediate starter over the terrible Clifton Geathers.

24 - NYG: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
I have to believe that the Giants have been targeting Eifert in this draft for some time now. They signed Martellus Bennett to a one-year deal, likely a bridge to a complete successor. Eifert, the 6'6" stud from Notre Dame, has had a tremendous season and has shown to be Everett Golson's top target all year long. With top end speed and good blocking skills, he would be a great fit into the Giants TE-favor system and would be another good target for Eli Manning.

25 - GB: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
The Packers drafted Jerel Worthy to play defensive tackle last draft, but were forced to move him over to the end position because C.J. Wilson is incompetent. They need to draft a defensive end to allow Worthy to move back to tackle. Dion Jordan is a quick, athletic stud out of Oregon who has shown the ability to a hybrid DE/OLB. A hybrid player like Jordan would have numerous positive effects on the Packers, even if they choose to start Wilson over him.

26 - DEN: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
The Broncos drafted Derek Wolfe last year to become a defensive tackle. However, he has proven to be a great defensive end, and won himself the starting job. That still leaves a hole at defensive tackle. Not to mention that Williams is a top-15 prospect, he would be a great fit. Williams posted great numbers this season, and should be a first round selection. Williams would be an immediate upgrade over Kevin Vickerson at defensive tackle.

27 - CHI: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Anybody who watches Bears football sees that their offensive line is not good. Cooper, a first round prospect, has shown to be a top blocker all season at UNC. He would be an immediate upgrade over Chris Williams at left guard.

28 - NE: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Wes Welker will be gone. The Patriots have not valued him highly enough, and he will leave for a team that does. So, that leaves a hole opposite Brandon Lloyd. Austin, the 5'9" wide receiver from West Virginia, has shown the ability to play in the NFL. Austin is a fun player to watch, for he also has taken snaps at running back, and would be a great flex player for the Patriots down the road.

29 - SF: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
Tank Carradine, the talented defensive end opposite Bjoern Werner at Florida State, has posted great numbers this season. The Niners have shown that they need another defensive end, and Tank Carradine would be a force off the bench when needed.

30 - BAL: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
Time and time again the Ravens have shown they need a future successor to Ray Lewis. Mosley, an Alabama product, has not shown as much potential as Dont'a Hightower did last draft. That does not mean the Nick Saban product he can't become an eventual starter. Assuming Lewis has one to two years left, Mosley can become an eventual starter, and would be greatly benefitted if drafted by the Ravens this year to play inside linebacker.

31 - HOU: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Boy, was the Texans defense torched against Chad Henne. They need to find a safety to replace the inconsistent Grover Quin, who is also a free agent. Elam, a safety out of Florida, has shown that he is NFL ready with great performance all season long that, which in return bolstered his draft stock. Elam would be a great, immediate fit into the Texans rock-solid defense.

32 - ATL: Corey Lemonier, DE, Auburn
Thank god the Falcons cut Ray Edwards. He was an old player with no skills who was extremely overpaid. However, they must find a replacement. Lemonier has shown he is first round talent this season, and the hybrid DE/OLB from Auburn would be a great fit into the Falcons defense, whether backing up Kroy Biermann at DE or Stephen Nicholas at OLB.
