1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The Chiefs start with a clean slate and a new QB. Smith's best quality might be his pocket awareness and ability to stand in under pressure, which can be a trait that defines or dooms young QBs
2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
With no QB worth taking here, the Jagaurs go for the best player on the board. Jones gives them a LB that can replace Daryl Smith, and a pass rusher, which they've been badly missing this year
3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
The Raiders should cut ties with Tommy Kelly and draft a young player that is willing to work. If he can learn from Richard Seymour, Lotulelei could be a special player
4 - CLE: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
The Browns go for the best player on the board, and add a really good LB. He and D'Qwell Jackson should make a formidable duo behind their young, emerging d-line
5 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
The Eagles should stick with Foles for now, and try to protect him as best as possible. Jason Peters' health is in question, and they need a new RT, making this an excellent pick
6 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The Panthers can't not go with Hankins here. If he's off the board, Joeckel could be the pick
7 - BUF: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
The Bills should dump Mark Anderson, and get a young pass rusher to pair with Mario Williams
8 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
The Cardinals finally get a player with franchise-QB potential. People worry about his physical limitations, but I see a cerebral QB that can pick apart a defense
9 - NYJ: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
The Jets should be looking at Jordan and Mingo here as a legitimate pass rusher. Jordan has shown much more potential, and they likely know that he'll at worst be a good player
10 - TEN: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Another team, another pass rusher. The Titans need depth behind Wimbley and Morgan, and Werner is the best one on the board
11 - STL: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
The Rams can't avoid getting a LT early in this draft. With Lewan at LT, Saffold can more to RT and help protect Bradford from pass rushers
12 - SD: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
With Jammer and Cason likely headed to free agency, the Chargers opt for a younger, higher-ceiling alternative
13 - DET: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Avril and Vanden Bosch could both be gone after this season, making way for a young pass rusher. Mingo's ceiling and potential should pique the interest of several teams if he falls this far
14 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
(from WAS) The Rams get a LT and #1 WR in the 1st round. If Bradford can play anywhere near his potential, this could be a playoff team next year
15 - DAL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
The Cowboys would love Jon Jenkins here, but i think Matthews fills a much more desperate need at RT, as their line has been atrocious outside of Tryon Smith
16 - MIA: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
The Dolphins go for the best player on the board, and land a really nice DE to pair with Cameron Wake
17 - MIN: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
I'd been mocking Patterson above Hunter, but feel like that can't happen. Hunter's talent level is much higher, and despite lower production this season, he will likely be the first Tennessee WR off the board
18 - NO: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
This pick should be between Jenkins and Richardson. Given Spagnuolo's penchant for pass rusher, i think he'll go for Richardson
19 - CIN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The Bengals go for the best player on the board and come away with a monster guard in Warmack. Boling could definitely be upgraded, Warmack/Zielter would be a rough combination for opposing DTs
20 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
Not as exciting as Patterson, but Williams is a reliable player that can be a #1 receiving right now. Wilson continues to get better, and they'll need to build an offense that can grow with him
21 - PIT: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
The Steelers get a steal hear with Jenkins. Casey Hampton can't keep playing as many snaps as he does, and this gives them a really good player to split time with, and eventually replace him
22 - IND: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
The Colts could go defense here, but if Richardson and Jenkins are off the board, i think they'll look hard at OTs and WRs. Fisher is a monster at CMU and would be a nice plug-in at RT
23 - GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
The Packers need to do something about their o-line early. Jones has the skill and potential to start at any non-LT position. Jeff Saturday might be on his way out, and Jones could be a formidable stop-gap for the center position
24 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
The Bucs got rid of the Talib problem, but opened a bigger problem by creating a hole at CB. Eric Wright hasn't been as good as hoped, and Banks could be the team's new #1 CB
25 - NE: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
The Pats could also look at Tavon Austin here as a deep threat, but watching Wilfork and Love decline should raise some worries in New England
26 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The Ravens take an excellent MLB prospect to eventually fill Ray Lewis' spot. Ogletree has been the director of a very good Georgia defense, and should be able to handle a similar role in the NFS
27 - NYG: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Giants take the best player on the board, and land a really good IOL that can play guard or center for them
28 - CHI: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
With Cooper and Jones off the board, the Bears shouldn't reach for an o-lineman. Adding Eifert would give Cutler a real target at TE, and help open up this offense more than it already is
29 - DEN: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
The Broncos take the best safety on the board, and get a replacement for their current SS who is terrible
30 - SF: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Okafor is a steal here, and gives the 49ers a really good pass rusher to pair with Aldon Smith
31 - ATL: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
All the Falcons should do is compare the scouting reports of Ansah and Jason Pierre-Paul if they have any doubts about this pick. Both are massive, both ran track, but love hitting opposing QBs
32 - HOU: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
The Texans get a #2 WR that can develop into a #1 once Andre Johnson retires
