1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Kansas City needs a upgrade at QB in the biggest way. Smith is the top rated QB at this time.
2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Not sure that Jones can have the same impact as Von Miller in a 4-3 defense but his talent and Jacksonville's lack of talent mean it's a gamble worth taking.
3 - STL: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
TRADE - With Cleveland not having a second round pick and having numerous holes they are happy to trade down. St Louis jumps Carolina and Philly to guarantee the services of the best LT in the draft.
4 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Carolina needs help in the middle of the defensive line and Lotulelei has the edge on Hankins
5 - OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Oakland struggles to get pressure on opposing QB's so they take the best pass rusher available
6 - PHI: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Really struggled with this pick, and I see it as a possible trade slot. Sticking with the Eagles I decided to go best player available. A Hankins/Cox DT tandem looks dangerous for opposing O-Lines
7 - CLE: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
TRADE - Cleveland adds picks whilst picking up a stud defensive player with the leadership qualities this young team needs
8 - MIA: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
The WR's seem a bit of a reach here especially after Allen's injury so Miami gets a corner to play opposite Smith.
9 - BUF: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Nix says he wants a franchise QB, he tries to find one in Matt Barkley
10 - TEN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Tennessee take the best DE or CB available, in this case it's Montgomery
11 - NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Jets need help in putting pressure on opposing QB's, Mingo has huge potential as an outside linebacker in the Jets 3-4 defense
12 - STL: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
If Luke Joekel has to protect against Aldon Smith the Rams will need someone to protect against Justin Smith
13 - ARI: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Never have need and player matched up so well
14 - SD: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
San Diego pick up a starting RT who can move to the left side to cover when Gaither is inevitably injured.
15 - DET: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Van den Bosch is getting old and Avril may be going, Detroit get help at DE whilst also picking the best player available
16 - DAL: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Dallas don't provide many pass rushing threats outside of Ware so someone to play opposite of him would be useful. Also we have seen in Baltimore this year a lack of depth and a superstar injury results in problems in sacking opposing QB's, if Ware gets hurt Dallas are done.
17 - CIN: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Bengals passing attack becomes far more dangerous with a legitimate threat opposite AJ.
18 - NO: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
New Orleans need defense!!! With the best ends taken off the board already the Saints take a huge DT who will command double teams to help the pass rush, and will help clog lanes to slow down the run.
19 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
The Bucs add much needed help to their last ranked pass defense
20 - MIN: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Minnesota need a threat opposite Percy Harvin which is where Hunter comes in
21 - SEA: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
Seattle could look at RT and WR here but the missing piece on the defense is found instead.
22 - PIT: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
Pittsburgh have problems at safety with injuries and age so they add the premier safety in the class.
23 - IND: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Richardson is the best player available and fills a need for the Colts
24 - CHI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Chicago needs to upgrade the O-Line, J'Marcus Webb is one of the worst starting LT's in the league.
25 - NYG: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Alex Okafor is drafted as a replacement for the out of contract Osi Umenyiora
26 - DEN: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Williams size and strength will command double teams, allowing Dumervil and Miller one on one's on the outside.
27 - NE: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The Pats need help stopping the pass so select the best corner available. Selecting Rhodes would allow the Pats to move McCourty to FS
28 - GB: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
With Jermichael Finley going at the end of the season the Packers need a replacement TE.
29 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Ogletree is given the task of filling the shoes of Ray Lewis.
30 - SF: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
There aren't many holes on this roster but one could be created if free agent to be Dashon Goldson leaves.
31 - HOU: Robert Woods, WR, USC
Houston needs help opposite Andre Johnson and Woods is probably the best player available.
32 - ATL: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
Not only would Carradine provide a legitimate pass rush threat opposite Abraham, but he is also probably the best run stuffing DE in the draft
