Mock Draft 1.0 (Round 1)

<< Previous Mock Draft View all User NFL Mock Drafts Next Mock Draft >>

1 - KC: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Best QB on in the draft and the most ready.
2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
I don't think that JAX is ready to pull the plug on Gabbert yet.
3 - CLE: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Just drafted Weeden last season so I think its too soon to draft another QB so they will take OL to protect last year's pick
4 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Highest rated player still on the board and a little too high to pick a receiver.
5 - STL: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
The Rams need help on defense, Lauranaitis can't do it all himself.
6 - TEN: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Absolute beast. Actually surprised that I've got him here and not higher.
7 - CIN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Time for some help and youth on the line.
8 - OAK: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
This is as far as I've got Smith falling. It's not quite the "Aaron Rodgers effect", but still lower than many.
9 - BUF: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Too much invested in Fitzpatrick so it's time to protect him.
10 - PHI: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
Vick is not the answer anymore, time for new blood.
11 - NYJ: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
Have a feeling that JJ Watt plays a big part in more DT's getting taken higher this year.
12 - DAL: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
JJ Watt effect here....and the 'Boys need line help....especially stopping the run
13 - NO: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
The Saints need everything on defense....this is a good place to start.
14 - STL: Robert Woods, WR, USC
Most people don't put Woods this high, but he's the real deal.....Bradford gets help.
15 - ARI: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Got to protect WHOEVER they put at QB.
16 - SD: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Pass rush is always good...and SD could use some.
17 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Dolphins have an up and coming offense and they add more weapons here.
18 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
TB found some life on offense now it's time to focus on the D.
19 - DET: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Interior line is great, but the outsides need some help...they get it here.
20 - MIN: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
If they were smart they'd try and trade up for Geno Smith..and I can see them reaching for a WR here, but if they pick here they need to play it safe and go for secondary help.
21 - SEA: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
They need more options on offense. They should try and trade up to take Robert Woods.
23 - IND: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
More protection for Luck.
24 - GB: Tony Jefferson, FS, Oklahoma
GB needs help on D
25 - DEN: Corey Lemonier, DE, Auburn
Find a compliment to Von MIller.
26 - NE: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Secondary help for the Pats seems logical here....but so does them trading down like they always do.
27 - NYG: Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas
The Giants always draft good D and with Osi probably leaving, this is a great pick for them.
28 - SF: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Their defense is solid so not many options for improvement there so OL is a safe choice.
29 - BAL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
BAL is going out to find WR2 to go with Torrey Smith....Eric Reid is also good here.
30 - CHI: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
Bears OL needs help...got it last year, time to repeat this year.
31 - HOU: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
Daneial Manning isn't the answer. Manning is a converted CB....HOU could use a true S.
32 - ATL: David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State
Dunta Robinson gets abused too much...time for a change.
