Author's Comments

Cleveland(Supplemental Draft) and New Orleans(Bounty Gate) do not have 2nd round picks this year

1 - MIA: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
(Jones, OLB) Miami needs a lot of help, but they really need to solidify their safety positions. Vaccaro is a playmaker at SS
2 - CIN: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
(Lemonier, DE) The Bengals take the best player on the board, and continue to pad their defense
3 - TEN: Khaled Holmes, C, USC
(Mingo, DE) The Titans need to add a good center to their line, and Holmes is the class of this draft
4 - MIN: Carrington Byndom, CB, Texas
(Hunter, WR) The Vikings need big, athletic bodies at CB, and Byndom is one of the best in college right now
5 - KC: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
(Smith, QB) The Chiefs pick up an exceptional RT that should start for them for a long time
6 - WAS: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Redskins go out and get a dominating zone blocking guard from UNC. Cooper will really help this o-line keep RG3 upright and clean
7 - CAR: Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State
(Hankins, DT) The Panthers go defense in round 1, and get a big physical receiver in round 2. Wilson should be their new redzone threat and eventually take Steve Smith's job as #1 receiver
8 - BUF: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
(Bray, QB) The Bills go out and get a really good, really fast WR that was in line to be one of Bray's favorite targets before transferring to Tennessee Tech. They need a #2 WR, and Rogers is a good one
9 - TB: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
(Montgomery, DE) The Bucs could be in the market for a new LT pretty soon, and Fluker is a beast
10 - JAX: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
(Amerson, CB) The Jaguars continue to search for a pass rushing DE, and may get a steal here with Okafor
11 - STL: Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M
(Woods, WR; Joeckel, LT) Porter started the year with a mid-1st round grade, but has seen a bit of a drop off. He is still an incredible athlete, and the Rams could use another good, young LB next to Lauranitus
12 - MIA: Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma
The Dolphins get a really good WR for Tannehill. He is going to need all the help they can get him if they expect him to get better and start producing
14 - SEA: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
(Allen, WR) The Seahawks continue to add pieces do their defense, and get a nice 43DT that can help generate a pass rush inside
15 - CIN: Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
Thomas is flying up draft boards, and would be a welcome addition to any team's offense. They do have 2 good OTs, but that hasnt stopped them from stockpiling good, young depth in the past few years
16 - NYJ: Michael Buchanan, DE, Illinois
(Lattimore, HB) The Jets get an outside pass rusher that Rex Ryan should love. He's fast, has strong hands and should remind some of Whitney Mercilus from last year's draft
17 - PHI: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
(Milliner, CB) The Eagles add another young, talented LB to pair with Demeco Ryans and Michael Kendricks. Brown would be excellent as a SLB, and can alternate at MLB with Ryans
18 - CHI: Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina
(Warmack, OG) The Bears add another offensive lineman. Jamarcus Webb is not the answer at LT, and adding Warmack and Williams should help to start rebuild this line
19 - GB: Margus Hunt, DE, Southern Methodist
(Reid, FS) The Packers get a nice 34DE to line up across from Jurell Worthy to help take attention away from Raji and their LBs
20 - DAL: EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State
(Jones, OG/C) Dallas doesn't need to replace Romo right now, but they are going to need to replace him in a few years. Manuel is a really good prospect that would benefit from backing up an exceptional QB with a similar skill set
21 - SD: Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford
(Lewan, LT) Takeo Spikes is getting towards the end of his line in the NFL, and the Chargers should look for a highly motived, high motor player that can fill in next to Butler at MLB
22 - DEN: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
(Werner, DE) The Broncos pick up a solid CB that can eventually replace Champ Bailey if he ever retires
23 - PIT: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
(Jeffcoat, DE/OLB) The Steelers like to pound the rock on offense, and have been unable to. The should look to clear house aside from Mendenhall and bring in Lacy as a future #1 back
24 - HOU: Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall
(Jenkins, NT) The Texans go out and get a #2 WR that can develop into a #1 as Andre Johnson gets older
25 - DET: John Simon, DE, Ohio State
(Banks, CB) The Lions get a nice pass rusher that can overtake Cliff Avril's spot if they decide that he is not worth the money
26 - NYG: Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia
(Eifert, TE) The Giants pick up a very solid LT that can replace Beatty, who they can move back to RT, where he is better suited for
27 - NE: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
(Rhodes, CB) Belicheck gets Brady a new toy, and a solid deep receiver that can help to open up their downfield passing game
28 - SF: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
(Williams, WR) The 49ers get a big, physical DT that should be able to slim down a bit and play 34DE and overtake Justin Smith's spot in a year or two
29 - ATL: Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State
(Gholston, DE) Michael Turner appears to be on his way out, and the Falcons should start looking for his successor. Bell is a really solid, powerful runner that should mesh nicely with Jacquizz Rodgers
30 - BAL: Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama
(McDonald, FS) The Ravens get Ray Lewis a successor. Johnson is a very smart MLB that can tackle as well as anyone in the game. He would be a very good replacement option
31 - CLE: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
The Browns forfeit this pick when they selected Josh Gordon of Baylor in the Supplemental Draft
32 - NO: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
The Saints lost this pick as part of the sanctions from Bounty Gate
