Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bearcats tight end Travis Kelce is an excellent athlete and should be one of the first tight ends to come off the board. While still developing as an in-line blocker, he is a very good receiver that can line up in multiple spots to create mismatches.

Kelce has very good hands and can consistently catch the ball away from his body. Above-average straight line speed and can hit a second gear if given space. Route running is an issue. Must learn to stem his routes properly. Great body control and long arms. Decent strength through his lower half allows him to contribute, to an extent, as a pass-blocker.

As route running improves, will become a more viable option to challenge for playing time. Could do a better job seeing the ball after turning his head back to the play. Can be dangerous after the catch. Doesn't shy away from contact and will bounce off would-be tacklers for more yards. A more consistent effort and focus are the key in his development.

Kelce projects as a third to fourth round prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft.
