2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff

After running the fastest 40-yard dash time for any offensive lineman at the NFL Scouting Combine, UAPB's Terron Armstead is a name to know heading into the draft. He has impressive athleticism and a lean frame, which will need to grow to handle the responsibilities at left tackle.

Armstead was a shot putter in college. He impressed at the East-West Shrine Game and was a late invite to the Senior Bowl. An All-SWAC player the last three seasons. Dominated the Combine, posting great numbers in the vertical jump and broad jump. Added 31 reps on the bench press.

Long athlete with rare movement skills. Raw in his techniques and will need some grooming at the next level. Above-average footwork and decent wingspan. Must learn to extend arms and keep power rushers at bay. Can sometimes allow defenders inside his frame and push him back. Must add strength from top to bottom, currently undersized.

Would be an ideal fit in a zone-blocking scheme which would enable him to move to the point of attack and use momentum to his benefit. Lunges too often instead of using his footwork to get into position.

Armstead is a late second to early third round prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Prediction: 3rd Round

This guy is going to be a steal. It wouldn't surprise me if he goes into the 2nd round after the combine.

Prediction: 2nd Round

Would love to see this guy in Seattle, but I have a feeling his performances as well as the hype will get him drafted before that. Someone like Arizona, Miami or San Diego could snatch him up should one of them miss out on one of the first round caliber OTs (Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson, Fluker)
