Ace Sanders, WR, South Carolina

South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Ace Sanders is an undersized prospect with above-average speed and excellent short-area quickness. Flashes some real talent at separating and could contribute in the slot or as a kick returner.

Sanders didn't time as well as expected at the Combine, but the game tape shows more. Excellent body control to get after passes or errant throws. The prototypical quick-twitch athlete that could be dangerous in the open field. Must continue working on separating from man coverage with using his hands and selling fakes with his upper body. Can be pushed around due to limited size and has trouble with press-man coverage.

Accelerates quickly after the catch. Lacks a distinct second gear. Lacks ideal frame to challenge for high passes. Below-average leaping ability given his speed and quickness. Arms and hands are undersized as well. Very competitive style of play. Tries to block, but lacks the core strength to really get after defenders.

Sanders projects as a fourth to fifth round prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft.
