2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia

West Virginia wide receiver Stedman Bailey is a slightly undersized receiver that can stretch the field vertically. One of the most productive receivers in the Mountaineers' spread offense the last three seasons.

Bailey has above-average hands and adjusts well to the ball, especially on long pass plays. He tracks the football well and can quickly transition upfield after making the reception. Lacks ideal height and strength and will need to use his lateral agility to beat press coverage. Not a big target and does not have a big catching radius. Not a great leaper.

Solid route-runner with just below elite explosiveness in and out of his breaks. After the catch, he has some YAC potential and isn't as easy to bring down as his size indicates. Highly productive, but can disappear if not involved early. Caught 39 TD passes in his collegiate career. Some off-field concerns will need to be addressed after he was caught stealing OTC cold medication in early 2012.

Bailey projects as a late third to fourth round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
