2014 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami
At a hulking 6-foot-8, Henderson has hard-to-find size, length and power. A wide-bodied player who can excel as both a run and pass blocker. Shown flashes of elite footwork, but breaks down too easily at times. Technique can go out the window. Sets the edge and makes life difficult for speed rushers around the edge. Can absorb a lot of contact versus bull rush. Needs coaching up to clean up technique and it wouldn't hurt for him to lose 10 pounds.
Average pre-snap reads. Few issues against stunts and misdirection. Lacks the ideal finisher's mentality. Needs to mix it up a bit more and play with a more consistent tenacity. Average mobility. Long-terms concerns about back problems
Enough lateral agility to play in a zone-blocking scheme. May be better off on the right side. Excellent at the second level and destroys linebackers and defensive backs with ease. Pad level is hit or miss. Must learn to play with more discipline in his fundamentals.
Henderson projects as a fourth round prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft.
