2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia

University of Virginia offensive tackle Oday Aboushi is a long, athletic player with very good pass blocking skills. Once he adds a little more strength, Aboushi has terrific potential as a left tackle at the next level.

A team captain with length and above-average hand use. Good get-off at the snap. Footwork is inconsistent at times, typically against pass rushers who can use speed and power effectively. A solid zone blocker with good movement. Not an overpowering player, but is strong when keeping his feet active. Adequate strength, could afford to add more muscle. Lacks attitude and can play lackadaisical at times. Needs to have more of a killer instinct to dominate his opponent. Not a great athlete and shows some breakdowns in technique late in games.

Plays a bit too upright at times. Aboushi can identify the blitz off the edge well. Finds the extra blitzer really well. Moves better to his left than right. Technique needs polishing almost across the board.

Aboushi earns a second round projection in the 2013 NFL Draft.
