Jordan Reed Scouting Report

Florida's Jordan Reed is an early round tight prospect who is built like an oversized wide receiver who can contribute immediately as a hybrid TE/H-back.

Very fluid runner. Average height and bulk are concerns. Blocking is lacking as well, but given his athleticism, that can be coached up. Gains separation with springy footwork and gets in and out of his breaks quickly. Does a nice job finding soft spots in zone coverage. Not afraid of contact after making the catch. Willing to absorb contact and get upfield. Ball skills are adequate. Needs to sell fakes better with head movement.

Can make a defender or two miss with the ball in his hands. Versatile receiver who could line up across the field in multiple positions. Was benched for bowl game this year, which will be something teams want to know more about. Not currently built to play much in-line. Needs to show more tenacity and attitude as a blocker. Better fit if allowed to line up out wide.
