2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Using a myriad of solid techniques, Fisher could become a very polished left tackle. Using a good knee bend and quick feet, he gets into position well with a nice, wide base. He is very tall at 6'8" and still has room to grow with additional bulk. He will need to add strength across the board regardless. One measurement scouts will like are his long arms, which can be used to extend defenders away from his body and push them away from the quarterback.
As a run blocker, he shows good discipline with active feet and hands. Fisher is looking to move guys off the line and push them around. His choppy feet help him drive and not lose ground into the backfield. Like many young linemen, he can sometimes become overextended. His long arms will sometimes push his momentum too far forward and off-balance. Plays with chip on his shoulder and shows fantastic awareness in blitz pickup on stunts, twists and with guys coming off the edge.
Fisher looks to be an early first round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
