2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State
A lean prospect with good height and length, average speed, smooth backpedal, and solid instincts in coverage. Rarely bites on double moves, but can be beat badly by elite speedsters. Plays his assignment well and rarely caught out of position. Amerson must run well at the combine to assure teams he does not need to move to safety. Exceptional ball skills and does a great job of securing the football while up in the air. Very aggressive when going after the ball and swiping it away.
Plays tight in his hips when in man and does a better job in zone. Reads the play well in front of him and can feel where the quarterback wants to deliver the football. Too often goes for the highlight reel hit and will need to learn to wrap up cleanly. Scrappy tackler and will sometimes rely on collision tackling.
Amerson's game has been picked apart since early evaluations had him as the top DB in this class. He projects as a third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

i think he has 1st round talent but some how lost focus as a corner in 2012, maybe 2 aggressive at times and he should b a steal in second round if he gets his swagger back of 2011, redskins should pick him if on board at 2 round or third.
