2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
Long strider and below-average jump coming off the line. Uses great body control and shields defenders very well on slants and drags. Uses hands well to disengage DBs looking to throw him off his route. Very good hands and can go up to make the catch. Long wingspan.
Not particularly fast and will need to run well at the combine. A 4.55 to 4.6 40 yard dash is expected. Brings a lot of energy and passion to his game. Good blocker and can overpower smaller corners. Route running is just okay and will greatly benefit from better coaching. He gets upfield well but doesn't exactly have an array of moves or the elusiveness to break many big plays.
Rogers will likely slip in most draft boards because of character issues and an average athletic skill set, but the potential is obvious. He projects as a fifth round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
