2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Brian Quick, WR, Appalachian State
Quick is a crisp route runner with good body control. He can shield off defenders, square up and catch the ball away from his body. With his height and frame, he's going to create a lot of mismatches.
Quick is similar to San Diego's Vincent Jackson as a player who may not fly past anyone with his speed, but is an elite talent who can use his body position and long arms to get up for jump balls.
He's quite the athlete and has enough overall skill to be a dominant possession receiver and red zone target. Quick isn't a natural No. 1 receiver, but he will make a nice compliment to a team that needs a target to work the field 10 to 20 yards from the line of scrimmage. Since he is raw, he may not have an instant impact. Given the right amount of patience, Quick could be a long-time starter in the NFL.
