2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Kyle Adams, TE, Purdue

Purdue Boilermakers tight end Kyle Adams is a 2011 NFL Draft prospect with limited potential to take his abilities to the next level. While having the right size and intangibles to make a solid player in the NFL, his below-average athleticism and inconsistent blocking make it unlikely he will have a NFL career.

Adams was the Boilermakers' co-captain and a first team academic All-American in 2010. He compiled 36 receptions for 244 yards and no touchdowns last season. Scouts will appreciate that his skills are generally adequate, but he isn't fast enough to work the seam. Adams doesn't bring enough tenacity while run blocking. There isn't any burst or ability to create separation as a pass-catcher in his game.

He tore his ACL during the 2008 season and received a medical redshirt. In order to to stick on a NFL roster, he will need to drastically improve his blocking and fully commit to the pro game.

Kyle Adams will not be drafted but may receive an offer as an undrafted free agent.
