Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State

There are very few deficiencies in Justin Blackmon's overall game. His best asset is an ability to get after the ball while it is in the air. Whether it is leaping up to make a tough catch or routinely securing passes anywhere in his wheelhouse, Blackmon catches everything and goes after the ball hard. He comes back to the ball and shields defenders with his frame to win at the point of attack.

Blackmon has accumulated a ton of production while at Oklahoma State, a team unafraid to let it rip offensively.

His route running lacks explosion, but he does well to confuse defenders using body language and quick feet. He is fast enough to get behind defenders and does great to go after deep passes. Blackmon can work between the hashes willingly. If not in the mix early, he can lose focus and not sell out on routes. He could improve after the catch and needs to be more violent when he secures the ball in order to break tackles and get free.

There are concerns to his game; in particular, he doesn't have game-breaking speed. For a player looking like a Top 10 pick, that is a concern. He certainly isn't slow, but he runs in the 4.5 40 yard dash range. The easy comparison right now is Michael Crabtree. Sure, Crabtree was a Top 10 pick, but he still has not lived up to those expectations (even with the recent 49ers' success). Blackmon could see his draft stock slide a tiny bit if teams feel he can't separate, whether it is due to his average speed or imprecise route-running.

Blackmon is assumed to be one of the first players taken in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Prediction: 1st Round

He's gonna go to STL no doubt- they need to give Bradford a weapon.

Prediction: 1st Round

In St. Louis BUT , They will work a deal with Miami trading down to get their 8th pick . They will trade !st rounds with the Rams getting Jake Long and take over his $11.2 million salary for the last year of his contract. If Blackmon is already gone at #8, they can take ANOTHER off. lineman.
That way they protect Bradford and Prolong Steven. Or Trent Richardson if he's there.
Miami then will take Q.B. Robert Griffin or LUCK if he is there.

Jets make a surprise move by trading up with Min and selecting WR Justin Blackmon. They will trade Holmes, 2012 1st rd pick, 2013 2nd rd pick and maybe a 2013 3rd rd

Prediction: 1st Round

If he runs 4.45 or better he goes to the Rams very early. If he runs 4.55 then he slips to the Jags or even the NY Jets.
