2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Jordan Todman, RB, Connecticut
Without Dixon around, Todman was poised for a huge year in 2010 and he did not disappoint. In just 11 games, Todman rushed for a conference high 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns. Despite his 5-9 frame, Todman carried the ball 302 times. As a result of his success, Todman won the Big East Offensive Player of the Year award and made a variety of All-American teams.
Todman is an interesting NFL prospect. He is a superb athlete who can run a sub 4.4 40. There will be concerns that he cannot carry the ball 20 to 25 times per game at the next level, but he can play other positions. Todman is more than capable of lining up wide as a receiver and getting his touches on kickoff returns. With a good showing at the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma, Todman could get a ton of national attention and then it may be tough for him to turn down the NFL.
2/10 Update: Todman did not garner much attention as UConn struggled to hang in there with Oklahoma during the Fiesta Bowl. The Huskies' two touchdowns came on an interception and a kick-off return. Thus, the offense was pretty much shut out. Todman still wanted to parlay his success in 2010 into a higher draft pick and opted to enter the draft early. He is still largely considered a third round prospect, but he has room to move up once he shows off his versatility and speed at the NFL Combine.
4/8 Update: Todman had a fine showing at the NFL combine. He ran a 4.40 40-yard-dash and showed plenty of athleticism and strength. However, Todman is a tough fit for most NFL teams and that is becoming more and more apparent. As a result, Todman's stock is dropping and he could even fall into the fourth round.

I have seen this kid play in high school an at UCONN.The moment i layed eyes on him i knew he had nfl potential. Great vision, speed and instincts. He is truly talented. He has gone under the radar his whole football career but anyone who takes a chance on him this draft will be pleasantly surprised. He is a differance maker.

JORDAN is the real deal I have seen him play high school and UCONN. In his high school super bowl game he had near 300 all purpose yards 2 60 yard runs and 80 yard touchdown on a catch across the middle and took it the distance and played defence the entire game. The team that drafts Jordam Todman will be very rewarded with his all around athletic ability good luck Jordan

Icovered Todman his senior year in high school a few times. led his team to #1 overall. He is a great athlete, fast and good vision. He will impress come combine time. Should sky rocket up boards. Not a big back, but big enough.
