2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
Well, it was the story along with the play of both Newton and undefeated Auburn. The junior signal-caller enjoyed one of the best seasons in college football history in leading the Tigers to the BCS National Championship while winning the Heisman Trophy. He completed 185 of 280 passes for 2854 yards and 30 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. As good as those numbers are, Newton is even more dangerous with his feet, as he has rushed 264 times for 1473 yards and 20 more scores. In a Heisman-defining performance, Newton led Auburn back from a 24-0 road deficit to stun Alabama 28-27.
He also looks like a lock for success at the next level. Newton has the look of a linebacker, which is becoming more and more typical of NFL quarterbacks these days. He stands at a whopping 6'6'' and 250 pounds although he has still been clocked as fast as 4.42 in the 40-yard dash. That kind of size, speed, and athleticism is rarely seen in a college player--or any player for that matter. Add Newton's throwing accuracy into the mix and he looks like a can't-miss prospect. It's no surprise that Newton left early, and he should be drafted in the first half of the first round.

basically the same exact thing as vince young was coming out of college, if he goes to the right team he could be a superstar

Cam Newton will be a Viking. Pick #12. he is potentially the best QB in the Draft. Frazier wants a QB to build around and Newton is perfect for handing the ball to AP for 2-3 years.

vaughnbros i totally agree-vince young part 2 is correct. vince went to a really good team in tenn and he still blew it but cam will prob be picked by buffalo and the pats-jets will eat him up for at least 2 years. qbs who run to much in nfl will not survive a season.
