2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Andrew Jackson, OG, Fresno State
However, the best was yet to come as Jackson paved the way for a dynamic offense in 2009. Running back Ryan Mathews was the leading rusher in the nation and quarterback Ryan Colburn got great protection all year long. Jackson had high expectations following his All-Conference performance in 2009, but his senior year was marred by injuries.
Jackson is an interesting prospect. He has blocked three kicks during his collegiate career and he is certainly a quality special teams player and could even play some defensive tackle. At 6-6 and 295 pounds, he has the size to do it. However, he is better off on the other side of the ball and if it was not for his shortened senior season, Jackson would likely be considered a fourth round draft pick instead of a late rounder.
