2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada
In 2009 the Nevada passing game was not quite as effective, as the 6-6 signal caller threw for just over 2,000 yards0 (but he was one of three 1,000 yard rushers on the team that season). Kaepernick also accounted for 36 touchdowns. Through eight games in the 2010 season, Kaepernick is again well on his way to reaching 2,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards.
What makes Kaepernick such an interesting NFL prospect is his size. At 6-6 and 225 pounds, he looks like an NFL quarterback. He certainly lacks the arm strength and passing accuracy of a top tier prospect, but he can make some decent throws. He will have to show off his arm during senior week and at the NFL combine, but some team should take a chance on him by the third or fourth round.

I am not sure how much you've watched Kaepernick throw the ball, but his arm strength is not lacking. His accuracy and decision making skills will hold him back, but potentially make him a nice late round development pick. 6-6 225 is also not bad for a WR prospect. With more teams implementing a "wildcat" package, it may not be a bad pickup. The guy can sling it or run it effectively in a wildcat, but I wouldn't trust him immediately as a starter.

Edit: I don't think he'll go 1st round, I forgot to change that.

Nothing worse than a writer that just doesn't do his research. His arm strength is what seperates him. Most feel him or mallet have strongest arms in class.

A source told Pro Football Talk that radar gun readings have shown Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick to have the strongest arm among quarterbacks throwing at the NFL Combine.
Kaepernick’s best throw came in at 59 miles per hour -- one MPH faster than Ryan Mallett's best throw and three MPH faster than Cam Newton's. FOX Sports’ Adam Caplan has said that in addition to velocity, Kaepernick was throwing "the nicest ball" at the Combine. Also the owner of a blazing 4.53 forty, Kaepernick is looking like a possible second-round pick. Feb 28, 2011. Another analysis by a guru (don't recall which one) stated that because of Kaepernicks extremely fast arm motion that it makes up for his enlongated throws resulting in an overall motion from start to finish of a pass as being at least average to above average.

I see Kaepernick going in the top 10, I see the Titans drafting him, the need for a QB in an offense that is all run and gun will suit him perfectly. DT isnt needed in tennessee with Jones proving himself and Brown resigning. I would love to have Kaepernick on my team, but i do feel i am the only one who see's the true potential of Kaepernick amongst titans fans. I dont want to see Jake Locker in the blue, because the kid couldnt hit a cows arse with a shovel if he was standing behind it.
