2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Davon House, CB, New Mexico State
House has continued to be a very productive member and a leader of the entire Aggies defense. As a sophomore he tallied 40 tackles and added two more interceptions to his ever growing total. As a junior, House finally got some recognition for his stellar play and was named to a variety of all-conference teams. Leading the conference in passes defended and interceptions is a good way to get some accolades. House picked off three passes and ended up scoring two touchdowns…one off of a pick and the other resulting from a fumble recovery.
New Mexico State's defense has had a very tough time creating turnovers and House has the team's only interception through eight games in the 2010 season. That is a total of ten interceptions during his career and he should have a few more by the time his college days are over. House has been invited to the Senior Bowl and he should surprise quite a few people who stopped paying attention to NMSU long ago. If he does as well as expected, House could easily be a second round selection by April.
