2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Boris Lee, ILB, Troy

One of the best kept secrets in the nation, Lee was one of the main reasons the Trojans were able to field one of the better defenses in the country the last two years. Lee increased his tackle totals every year at Troy, finishing his freshman year (2006) with 62 tackles, 6 for loss, and 2 sacks. The following year, the product of Fargo, Georgia recorded 82 tackles, 2 of them for losses. Though he really came into his own during a stellar junior campaign in 2008 when he recorded 112 tackles (9.5 for loss) with 4.5 sacks. This past season, Lee once again led the club in tackles (127) and was third in sacks with 3. Strenths: Has good size. Has good upper body strength. Is an athletic player with better than average instinct for the position. Can match up against most running backs in the passing game. Has good initial quickness and burst. Plays with a solid motor all the time. Intense and energetic. Weaknesses: Is not an explosive playmaker. Takes too long to react. Doesn't make quick reads. Looks hesitant at times. Needs to improve his technique. Takes too many bad angles while in pursuit. Lee is one of the most underrated players in this draft. He will probably not break any records at his Pro Day, but the 6-foot-0 player is one to be keeping an eye on. Because of his average measurements, Lee will probably be drafted somewhere in the vicinity of the fifth to six round. But the team that gets him could luck out thanks to his intensity and desire.
