Darrell Stuckey, SS, Kansas

Once Darrell Stuckey was healthy as a redshirt freshman, he was making a big impact. Stuckey missed the first five games of the season due to an injury, but ended up starting the last four games of the year at the safety spot. By his sophomore season he was a regular starter and ranked fourth on the team with 72 tackles and picked off two passes. It was in 2008 when Stuckey started to show up on the national radar. He totaled 98 tackles and five interceptions during that season and that earned him All-Big 12 First Team honors by just about everybody. Stuckey has not had a let down during his senior campaign. Through ten games of the 2009 season, Stuckey leads the Jayhawks with 73 tackles and has added 3.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack and one interception. At 6-1 and 205 pounds, Stuckey might not have the ideal build for a strong safety, but his versatility could help him move up into the second or even first round. Stuckey has been well tested in the passing game in the pass happy Big 12 and has proven that he can be very effective in pass coverage. But Stuckey can also creep up and get into the backfield. 2/15 Update: Stuckey's draft stock has been up and down a lot lately. He did not do too well during the week building up to the East-West Shrine game. He was kind of stuck, if you will, between being a free safety and a strong safety. However, once he got on the field for the game, Stuckey proved that he can be a productive player. He ended up leading the West team with seven tackles and should be a third round selection at this point.

Prediction: 4th Round

Darrel Stuckey will soon have a new nickname: The soon-to-be "Stick-It Monster" will be sticking it to those WR's in the AFC West like a smart bomb. I can't wait to watch the "Stick'-It Monster" on Sunday taken' it to them Go Bolts!
