2009 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Georgia

Massaquoi flew a little bit under the radar in 2008 as a member of the high-powered University of Georgia team. QB Matthew Stafford, RB Knowshon Moreno, and freshman WR A.J. Green stole much of the spotlight, but Massaquoi still produced by far his best season in four years in Athens. He finished with 58 receptions for 920 yards and eight touchdowns, all career-highs. Massaquoi also exploded for 180 yards and three scores on 11 catches against rival Georgia Tech, albeit in a losing effort. The 6'2' wideout has good size and he could be a red-zone target at the next level like he was for the Bulldogs last season. He has also recorded a 4.45 time in the 40-yard-dash; stellar speed to go along with that size. His relatively fragile build, however, prevents him from breaking a lot of tackles and could eventually effect his durability. The occasional dropped pass has also haunted his game at times. Massaquoi definitely has a ton of upside, but at the same time he is far from a sure thing. A third-round pick in April's NFL Draft appears likely at the moment. However, he has all the tools to come up with a big combine later this month and that could change things.
