Quan Cosby, WR, Texas

No matter how productive Quan Cosby was during his four years at Texas, his size was always an issue when he projected to the next level. Cosby quickly turned into a playmaker at Texas and earned three starts as a freshman. By his senior year Cosby was the favorite target of quarterback Colt McCoy when he caught 92 passes for 1,123 yards and ten touchdowns. He also spent that season returning some kickoffs and punts. Cosby wrapped up his collegiate career in the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State where he caught 14 passes for 171 yards, including the game winning touchdown. However, the issue with his size still remains. Cosby was listed at 5-11 by the Longhorns, but recently at the Senior Bowl he measured in at just under 5-9. It really does not matter how productive he was in college, Cosby's size will keep him out of the first couple of rounds of the draft. All that productivity will make him an interesting mid-round prospect for a team that runs a West Coast offense. Despite his size, he is strong and can be very effective running after the catch. Cosby will be at the NFL Combine, but it will probably take a very special effort to move very far up the draft boards.
