2009 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person
Domonique Johnson, CB, Jackson State
Johnson was originally recruited to Missouri in 2004. He went on to play as a redshirt freshman in 2005. Johnson started two of twelve games for the Tigers in 2005, recording 35 tackles, two passes broken and returned five kickoffs for 77 yards. He then started four of the seven games he played for the Tigers in 2006, but he had only 17 tackles with three passes broken up. He also recorded his first (two) interceptions. He was benched for four games for undisclosed reasons, most likely disciplinary issues. Following the 2006 campaign, he transferred to Jackson State where he played in all of the team's twelve games registering 22 tackles, 14 passes broken up and five interception. One was returned for a TD. Extremely fast (Johnson had been clocked at 4.35, but is now at 4.40). He has the frame to add a couple of pounds. Is a willing tackle (which is a very rare trait from a cornerback at this stage of their development). Is very intelligent. Covers well, but not great. Moves hips very well. Backpedaling needs work. Was a start at Jackson State. Needs to improve technique. Johnson was a man against boys last season. He has the body to play corner, but some scouts believe his best position is at safety. It would be very interesting to see him at the post season games playing against top competition. Nevertheless, as of today, he is a surely second to third rounder.

Another CB/S I wouldn't mind the Cowboys picking.
