2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Justin Blalock, OG, Texas

Blalock played right tackle most of the time as a four-year starter at Texas, but he could easily be moved inside to guard at the next level. He struggles at times with speed rushers getting around him on the outside. Scouts at the Senior Bowl reported that while Blalock was solid at tackle, he's been an absolute beast at the guard position. The 6'4, 330-pound lineman is one of the most experienced members of this year's draft class, as Blalock set a Longhorn record by starting 50 consecutive games during his career. A unanimous first-team All-America selection as a senior, Blalock was also named a finalist for both the Lombardi Award (top lineman) and the Outland Trophy (top interior lineman). His name should be off the board by the mid-to-late first round.
