2013 NFL Mock Draft
In each of the past four years, he ranked inside the top-15 overall according to The Huddle Report.
Round 1 (part 2) of 2
17. PIT: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
With Jarvis Jones and Vaccaro off the board, the Steelers go with the other primary option, the draft's top rated tight end. Heath Miller will return, but might not be until several games into the season. Also gives Big Ben another pass catching threat.

18. DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Cowboys war room would break out into an impromptu Texas two-step if the draft unfolds this way. Cooper is a 320-pound senior offering experience and major pass blocking credentials. Vaccaro is another ideal choice with a defensive tackle also a possibility.

19. NYG: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Totally cool with those saying the Giants must take a linebacker here. If the top two inside options didn't have such colorful back stories, I could make such a call. Instead, New York's aging offensive line receives a young and massive body for its cause.

20. CHI: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
The Bears entered free agency needing offensive line depth and a new tight end. Day one of free agency, they got both. Now the linebacking corps receive help and there should be several interesting options. Interesting that few project Te'o falling outside the first round where two months back that seemed highly sketchy. Production trumps all.

21. CIN: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
With Andre Smith still unsigned, the Bengals are surely eyeing the various offensive tackle options. Same goes for safety, but A.J. Green could use a wingman. The 6-3 Patterson, who averaged 17 yards a catch last season and set a school single-season record with 1,858 all-purpose yards, is a notable draft riser .

22. STL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia*
The Rams need one if not two safeties, but with the top two options gone, they fortify their linebacking corps. Ogletree's off-the-field reputation is rather brutal, but Jeff Fisher is not afraid of character concerns.

23. MIN: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
Lots of interesting possibilities for the Vikings here including receiver and corner, but the Williams Wall needs a new member and a young, powerful one at that.

24. IND: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA*
Ideally the Colts draft offensive linemen so they protect that Andrew Luck guy. Alas on this board, those options are no longer around. Of course, finding a pass rusher opposite Robert Mathis is 1A on the needs list.

25. MIN: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
The corners are sliding on this board - and the Vikings are not complaining. Minnesota passed on paying Antoine Winfield so they find help in the draft. Yes, the Vikings will snag a receiver, but can find one in the second round.

26. GB: Matt Elam, FS, Florida
Running back remains the Packers top need, again, but isn't everyone down on taking one in the first? Unless Green Bay reaches a bit for an offensive tackle, tacking on a free safety here is the bets combo of need and talent.

27. HOU: Robert Woods, WR, USC
At some point the Texans must give Andre Johnson some help. Woods is among the NFL-ready receivers in the draft, giving him the edge for this team over Justin Hunter and others.

28. DEN: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Atoning for the Dumerville faxing error, the Broncos communicate to the NFL world their desire to select the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Werner racked up 13 sacks last season for the Seminoles.

29. NE: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Not sure how the Patriots end up taking a corner. Oh, sure I do. They don't pass on talent. Some have Rhodes inside the top-15. That seems high, but 29 is certainly low.

30. ATL: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
The Falcons may have no choice but to go with a pass rusher in the first, especially since solid corners are available in round two. Regardless, Brent Grimes and Dunta Robinson are gone, so new corners must come in.

31. SF: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
The 49ers need another pass rusher in case injuries crop up again. Carradine will need some time adjusting to a 3-4 scheme, but "Tank" racked up 11 sacks last season.

32. BAL: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
If the Ravens go need over talent, then linebacker is the call since the safety class is much deeper, but that's not how Ozzie Newsome conducts business.
