2010 NFL Mock DraftRound 1 of 11. TEN: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame*
It's almost certain that Tennessee will wind up with the first overall pick. What should have been obvious in 2008, is visually undeniable this year; neither Kerry Collins or Vince Young are long term answers at QB. The team needs a productive signal caller if they want to move back into the upper echelon of the league. No player has improved his draft stock more or has the highest ceiling at the position than the 6-foot-3 junior. 2. STL: Jake Locker, QB, Washington*
The Rams have drafted linemen with its top pick four out of the last five years. They could be tempted to go that route again with a talent like Ndamukong Suh, but QB is the more pressing need. Locker is not as polished as Clausen, but he is a great athlete who projects as a better pro passer than his college numbers suggest. 3. TB: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
It is clear that the defense, not the offense, has been the culprit of the Bucs' poor play this year. They need to get bigger and younger along the defensive front seven. Suh will provide Tampa with an athletic cornerstone from which to build on. 4. KC: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma St.
QB Matt Cassel's recent struggles and the Chiefs' inability to support an offensive flow on a consistent basis is due to the lack of athletic offensive linemen. They need blockers up front and Okung is the best of a talented group. 5. DET: Gerald McCoy, DT Oklahoma
Detroit has one of the smallest defensive lines in the league. Years of drafting for speed and agility has left them underpowered. It's time to change that. After Suh, no one has more upside that the Sooner mountain. McCoy could become the dominant line player the team has lacked this decade. 6. CLE: Taylor Mays, S, USC
There are several holes to fill, like WR, DT and QB. No quarterback left is worth this slot and they can get their wideout later on. RB could be tempting with Dwyer and CJ Spiller available, but it's hard for Eric Mangini passing up arguably the draft's best player. Mays should solidify, almost overnight, the Browns sluggish secondary. 7. OAK: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee*
Last year the Raiders tried to fill a clearing hole with one of the worse draft reaches of all time (second rounder Mike Mitchell). They will do it right this time around. After the Vols junior, the drop in talent among the safeties is noticeable. 8. SEA: Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech
The Seahawks wish list includes an offensive lineman, a defensive tackle, a promising quarterback and a running back. Oklahoma's Trent Williams could find his way here, but Dwyer is the best of a good RB class. He could become the 'Hawks workhorse back by his second year. 9. BUF: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
Buffalo could use a linebacker such as Sergio Kindle or Sean Weatherspoon, but offensive tackle is the biggest need. Williams is just a notch below Okung in terms of pure talent. A solid pass blocker, Williams should become the Bill's line for the next ten years. 10. WAS: Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
No question here. The Redskins will not improve until they settle on a playmaking signal caller. If Daniel Snyder doesn't pull a trade to land Clausen or Locker, he will be satisfied with the scrappy and talented Longhorn. *Underclassmen
