2010 NFL Mock DraftRound 1 of 21. STL: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame*
St. Louis needs to draft a young quarterback to prepare for the future. Jimmy Clausen doesn't have Jake Locker's arm strength or athleticism, but he has the 'it' factor scouts are always talking about. He is accurate, mobile inside the pocket, and is the kind of tough player the Rams need to lead them. 2. KC: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee*
Kansas City has way too many holes in their roster to not simply pick the best avaiable player. Eric Berry can play either safety spot in the NFL, and looks like he's going to be able to make an Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu type impact for his defense. 3. TB: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
Ndamukong Suh has been absolutely outstanding for Nebraska this year. He's a huge defensive tackle who plays the run well, can rush the passer and even drop into coverage. He should fit nicely into the new defense Tampa Bay is building. 4. CLE: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
Eric Mangini will blame this dismal season on the quarterbacks, and proceed to draft 'his guy.' Sam Bradford is extremely accurate and a very good athlete, but will have a lot of adjustments to make in the NFL.The Browns have a terrible defense, virtually no running game, and some of the worst receivers in the league. Bradford will have his work cut out for him in Cleveland. 5. TEN: Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
Kyle Vanden Bosch and Jevon Kearse are set to be free agents afeter the season. Carlos Dunlap would allow the Titans to let one of the veterans go. He is a physical specimen, but has a tendency to disapper during games and take plays off. 6. SF: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma St.
Adding Russell Okung to this offense would help the Niners out a lot. They can slide Joe Staley to the right side, improving the entire offensive front. They have other needs to be considered, but Okung is the best available player and they still have another first rounder to work with. 7. OAK: Taylor Mays, S, USC
This should be self explanatory, but Al Davis will take Taylor Mays if he's available because he's the best combination of size and speed at any position. Mays should be a good NFL player, but this is probably a little high for him if it were anyone else selecting. 8. DET: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Detroit offensive line has played better than expected so far this season, so reaching for a tackle may not be necessary. The Lions have a defensive minded coach and adding Gerald McCoy to their defensive front makes a lot of sense. 9. BUF: Charles Brown, OT, USC
Demetrius Bell isn't a bad player, but he belongs on the right side of the offensive line. Charles Brown has all the tools to be an elite left tackle in the NFL. Adding Brown may finally give Trent Edwards the chance to show whether or not he's an NFL quarterback. 10. SEA: Jake Locker, QB, Washington*
Locker, like a lot of Juniors, may have no choice but to enter early because of the possible rookie pay scale. He has tremendous upside, but may need a couple of years on the bench to develop. If Seattle thinks they can get another couple of years out of Hasselbeck this would be a perfect fit. *Underclassmen
